Unsatisfying final issue ends on a cliffhanger.
Two story strands here, neither particularly interesting.
The narration is particularly self-important and off putting.

You have to be f-ing kidding me. After 9 issues of I don't give a crap, I finally am interested in what is going on, and it ends on a cliff-hanger with the title getting cancelled.

To be continued...in another book...two years later. I'm not going to be waiting anxiously for this conclusion.

Completely agree here: this is actually a good, possibly even great, cliffhanger... And we have to wait two years for the conclusion?!

Okay, Gerber is an amazing writer, but he, definitely, isn't a great plot maker.

This was disappointing. The last... 4 issues? could've been used to put some progress to the main story, but, instead, it featured a bunch of stupid characters and stories. The title has a nice concept, but was very poorly developed.

Totally agree. After so many issues of nothing, they finally progress the story on the last issue.

Although I'm just relieved it's over.

This was just awful. Cliffhanger is fine, but the whole "Let's cheat casinos" is just dumb. There's no sense to it.

I skipped straight from Omega 9 to Omega 10 just to get it over with. To be honest though, I've never skimmed a title faster than this one. I just don't give a ratza**about Omega Man.

Here's Sean Howe, in Marvel Comics: The Untold Story, on Omega's cancellation (pg. 194):

Gerber and Skrenes had planned ahead the next two years of Omega the Unknown, in which the extraterrestrial hero experienced various human weaknesses - addictions to alcohol, gambling, and women - and which would reveal his link to James-Michael Starling. . . . "[Marvel] said they wanted new ideas," Skrenes recalled. "But when you gave them something new they said, 'but what is it like?'"
