Issue Review
   July 16, 2015
A tedious, aimless story.
Thereís a lot of narration, but none of it says very much.
It sometimes reads more like an idea without a story, rather than a fully formed story.
Itís true to the series formula of keeping M-T as a mostly passive observer, this time out thereís really no reason to be interested in what heís observing.

Wished this was in colour, but I have to say, Gerber and Starlin made a good combination here. This one, like many Man-Thing/Gerber stories so far, is a bit of a matter of taste, but I definitely enjoyed the magic-swamp-personality-split concept.

-After reading this, all I want to do is go shopping for canned goods...cans of tomatoes...cans of beans...cans of corn...cans!

If I'm beginning to fear reading Man-Thing, does that mean he'll come and kill me?

Really enjoyed this one. Gerber does a great job capturing teenage angst and rebellion, and the idea of manifesting different aspects of someone's personality as separate characters was interesting. Great art by Starlin, as usual.
