Issue Review

Frantic stuff, as Chris Claremont finds a way to bring Spidey across the country where he meets the Hulk and they... save the world.

Always fun to see Spider-Man out of his league. He's typically witty and resourceful. He just doesn't give up.

We also get to see the Soviet Super Soldiers in what amounts to an extended cameo.

Plus Reed Richards with... a bad flu!?

The ending builds great tension, then dissipates it much too quickly when the Hulk flings the problem out into space. Silly.

A downbeat final scene is good but isn't enough to redeem the conclusion. Still, overall, it's a fun romp.

6/10

-I wish they'd make up their minds about the Hulk--he's bulletproof, but susceptible to a "Narcodart?" That don't make no sense.
-Another victim of the post-Cold War era, this overlong story suffers from lack of tension and is downright boring. **

With the attitude by the Vazhin guy, and only one eye covered by his shades, is he supposed to be Russia's answer to Nick Fury?

If I remember correctly, Hulk didn't finish his transformation. He may be susceptible while in transition.
