Issue Review

The only real problem I have with this issue is the coincidence of having the heroine sharing a house (unknowingly) with the villain. It's been building for a while and, right from the start, it bugged me: it's a lazy way to kick-start a story. Mark Gruenwald inherited the set-up when he took over the series and uses it here, finally laying everyone's cards on the table. Aside from that one aspect, this is a good issue. Spider-Woman is one of the better Marvel heroes. She's really capable and up for adventure. Only her sidekick/partner/lover ruins the fun. He needs to be written out. The villain is the star, however. Quirky, mad, crazy. Fascinating. 8/10

Spider-Man is to Spider-woman as Puppet Master is to Madame Doll.

I love the Brothers Grimm. They're so weird and goofy, but without being pushovers.

Jessica needs to ditch Mike...I mean Jerry Hunt already. Get it? I almost called Jerry, Mike Hunt.

How did Spider-Woman fix the damage caused to her costume by the Gypsy Moth?

Loved the ending. Really didn't see this coming from Mrs. Dolly.

They show Spider Woman FLYING, not gliding. I really don't think Marvel knows the difference between gliding and flying. Remember when they had Falcon climbing light post so he could glide? They quickly did away with that. Might as well, just say she flies at this point.
