Issue Review
   May 16, 2017
A simple story that feels like something from out of the sixties.

It's a generic tale, where CM trains some rebels, and they fight to overthrow their evil masters.

It's also a tale where everybody dies. Making you wonder what the point was.

The art feels like a slide back. This looks like a book drawn 10 years earlier.

-Primitive plot and pitiful pencils provide pure, penetrating pain...

Sorry Ditko, but unfortunately, as like Kirby, your time has come and gone.

On the bright side, the Kenner Star Wars ad near the middle of the comic was neat.

Is this mess of a story the best that they can come up with for Captain Marvel?

  Johnny Darkness Says:

It seems every other comic I read these days has shadows attacking people. Not cool.

The letters pages seem to indicate they actually want Captain Marvel to succeed. Yet they put out stories/art like this and I can't take them seriously. Instead of fostering the character and developing the universe it always seemed like an afterthought to get him in a magazine to preserve the copyright. At least Carol Danvers has survived many iterations to step up and accept the namesake.

  Silver age nonsense.

New idea for sub order. Main, core, essential and completely unnecessary

This art is like literally like stepping back into the golden age.

  Primus sucks.
