"Bah! It's useless! only the Ant-Man would be clever enough to catch the hijacker!" - Our hero got a fame!!

These ants, so worried by pity human problems... (how?)

So, the glory to the first who speaked "That's my middle name" goes to: Ant-Man, well, these times he needed something to be pride of!!!

No machine is perfeft, and wind blows!!!!

Punny hero, don't you need the news?? (Yep, how didn't ass that to Ant-Man?)

By great good God, Jesus and Mary, what a huge score our hero got, he is the first one on Marvel Universe who cannot fight crime, he is seek!!!! Wow!!

Clever guards: "The hijacker might be around" but not in the truck???

Holly Hannah, Lieber, this time you really got me, Ant-Man was fakening!!! Second good history/plot by you (just saying, the first one was in Thor, with Loki's candy city 'nd so on!!).

Liked this villain's attitude too!!

"Mister, even when that guy fails, he wins! That's the Ant-Man for you!"

Wow, what a bystory (the first)- frightening, astonishing, powerfull! And the second one is cruel, even for an criminal!

Second Extra Story: In the year 2000, we are too kind hearted to imprison people. god forbid they wait another year around September.....

I love that the issue starts with Hank Pym wearing, essentially, a plastic bag on his head. Way to look out for the kids, Marvel!

Is it my imagination or are half the villians in the Antman comics so far the people who've asked for Antman's help? It's not necessarily a bad thing, but I've definitely noticed a recurring theme.

This story wasn't bad, but I'm subtracting a star for the ending. You would think by now the criminals would learn that they wouldn't throw Ant-Man off their trail by being the ones to ask him for help. 3 out of 6 Ant-Man stories have followed this formula and it's getting old extremely fast.

Another fun-filled romp. I never would have thought I'd be enjoying these comics so much. I honestly thought they'd be the worst of the lot, but they've been delightful as hell. Ant-Man!

I f*****g hate Larry Lieber's "unmasking" plots, but this one is better executed than most of it's ilk.

  Spider-Borg Says:

Another so-so ant man story. I wonder if they will ever change the formula for these things

  Another Scooby Doo ending. Sheesh.

Art and story were average. 2 stars.

Another Ant-Man story where the person calling in the crime is the one committing the crime. How many times has that happened now? It's getting a little repetitive.

1 star. Larry Lieber hijacked another Ant-Man story and immediatly crashed it.

Cover Me - The dark green background is nice making Ant-Man stand out.

Bird Brain - I love the panel of the bird being surprised by Ant-Man zooming past him. Also, the other bird's looking at him like he's crazy.

Mall Cops - So did the guards just sit there while the truck turned around and backed up to them?

Tupperware Mask - On page 7, panel 4,6 is that a burper on the Hijackers gas mask? You don't see it anywhere else in the story.

Hobby - Ahh, the Ant-Man's so cute in his little plane. You'd think Pym would use it more. Instead of crashing into his ants all the time!

'Nuff Said - "Exactly! and as the spider said to the fly, "Welcome, Suckers!""-Hijacker

  1. Very striking splash page
2. This issue has so much random stuff in it - overshooting, incan figurines, appendicitis
3. Page 7 - the magnet is cool as is the villain costume
4. The fake-out is just dumb. He faked out the good guys but the bad guy wasn't even there for it.
5. Page 8 panel 7 - very good image
6. The Scooby is strong with this issue.
Standard Antman...2 stars.

I love the picture of tiny Ant-Man standing in Mitchell's palm while the cops are so darn glad to see him! "Now at least the odds will be in our favor!" Worst. Police Force. EVER!!

And it was the armored car owner all along!!!! Wow, what a surprise. Some of these cases seem like they should be handled by the police, or perhaps (as someone else so eloquently stated) Scooby Doo.

  hendrica Says:

Fitting that I read this "Scooby Doo" style story while an episode of the new Scooby Doo plays in the other room. People tend to bash this issue for it but I rank it much higher than the new Scooby Doo series. Both are still waaaay behind the classic Scooby Doo show though.

Ant-Man is the best Detective of that time, how comes he always knows who the bad guy really is (and it is always the one calling for Ant-Man, coincidence?)...i hope the do other stories then crime-detective in the next issues...

  RobinHoodMtl Says:

  • Ant-Man should be careful with seagulls. He probably looks very tasty to them!

  • I wonder if the ants will get tired of being crushed when Ant-Man falls all the time on them.

  • The title for the story is a bit misleading.

  • Unmemorable Scooby-Doo issue.

  J-hat Says:

i guess they have to keep showing the ants catching him when he arrives at the landing sight, because people would question how he survived the fall?

The ol' pretend to be sick fake out

  Shentenza Says:

First of all the title would be considered as click bait nowadays. Second, the Ant-Man stories are more like Scooby-Doo and third, everybody knows you are suspicious when you visit Peru!

Still more enjoyable than Strange Tales.

I laughed aloud a few times, though not for the reasons Stan would likely have hoped for. I like Ant-man still for some reason, but the comics he appears in? At this point, not so much

  ScottG12 Says:

Wow, another Scooby Doo styled villain made the ending extremely predictable from the very start.. Getting sick of the Ant Man constantly using the trope of the person asking for his help being the villain in a mask..

That's just quality writing right there.
