  second story confusing

The exit of Kaluu and Umar's appereance is very sudden and comes as a hasty idea. Just get rid one baddie and quickly bring another. But it's good to know that Hydra lives.

People complain about DD, but look at this Fury and his 'sonic bum'.

10 bucks says Umar will end up falling in love with Strange. Those female villains always do...

Yet again, I am amazed by the fact that the ending is spoiled by the cover. Just seems so silly.

I wonder if it'll be revealed that Umar actually is Dormmamu, like Mike/Matt Murdock?

SHIELD good, Strange good, 3 stars for good. Better than Daredevil and X-Men any day.

Someone must have finally told them how magnets work, so now they're completely misunderstanding sound. Sound lasers, walks of solidified sound waves, beasts composed of sound...

I actually prefer Everett's work on this to Ditko's. The bottom left panel on page 6 confirms this for me.

I think I'm simpy... not a Ditko fan.

1 star for Don Caballero and his amazing champagne glasses of sound!!!

Hot Dog - I love that plane being destroyed in a no fly zone, and the pilots act like it's no big deal...

Double Talk - On the Hellicarrier it seemed that Sen. Dudley didn't know what was going on, but later with Fury he did??

Just A Swinging - So, HYDRA created zip lines!!??

Karnopolis/Karnapolis - Well, how ever you spell it; the robot statue guards were cool...

What's In A Name - Like others have mentioned about too many sound weapons showing up lately. The Overkill Horn is a fitting name!!

'Nuff Said - "He whipped it out from beneath his robe...!"-SHIELD Agent

While it's not her head that is on fire. There is another part of her body that is aflame...hence the nickname Fire Bush from back in the day!!!

In the Fury story, what is happening to the person on the last page, left side of the middle panel? It looks like a periscope sprouted from his back...

Both stories were pretty good, though Dr. Strange felt rushed.

The sonic blast test was pretty cool, with Fury literally getting blown off the rails by sound. I liked Pg3/P5 as his protective suit starts to shred from the force.

I too got a kick out of the casual attitude of the pilots who carelessly flew into the no-fly zone and had their plane destroyed!

  1. It seems…unlikely that a highly destructive sonic beam could trigger a nuclear warhead to go off. To destroy it, sure. But to trigger it? How?
  2. Pn. 5-3: Er…there are plenty of countries without nuclear weapons. Although maybe there weren’t any rogue states that weren’t allied to either the U.S. or the U.S.S.R. in 1966.
  3. Pp. 5–6: I like seeing the S.H.I.E.L.D. rumor mill.
  4. Pn. 11-1: So does Hydra have a mole inside S.H.I.E.L.D.?
  5. Pn. 12-2: “But suddenly, without any warning…” there’s a warning whine!

Apparently there’s a goof in the Order, as Hydra reappeared in a Captain America comic before this. I’ll have to try to get that fixed. ★★★

I still love these Nick Fury stories, but between Klaw over in FF, and the ...*ahem*...overkill horn, I have to wonder just how exactly Stan and Co think sound works. I mean, I kinda get where a little ignorance would get the stuff they do with magnets, transistors, lasers and the like, but we encounter sound every day...

I didn't think I would be enjoying nick fury stories as much as I am with these.
