Good story, well told.
It's carries extra significance because it brings DS back to the Marvel Universe, but it's also a compelling - if basic - mystery in itís own right.
Who is the fake Stephen Strange that lives in his old house?
8/10

Welcome back to The CMRO Dr. Strange. I had missed his adventures, but not the silly euphemisms like "By the Moons of Munipoor!"

Definitely nice to have Strange back, and this story was kind of fun, but it felta little out of character for Mordo to have been impersonating Strange. Maybe if he had been doing it specifically to torture Stephen, but the story intimates that he's been at it for months, without seeking out Strange.
I get the feeling that Mordo would be too proud and too disdainful of Strange to allow himself to become the man he hates. Then again, Mordo is above most other things a coward, so we may interpret this odd behavior in that light.

"The most fabulous fighting team of all?" If there's one thing old school Marvel comics excel at, it's hyperbole.

Art is typical Heck, nothing too exciting. The story is a good one and the script right on brand for Stephen Strange. I do miss Ditko, tho. (3-)

I'm probably giving this a higher rating than it deserves, but Dr. Strange is easily one of my favorite Marvel characters, and I'm thrilled to see him back in the order.

Oh Wong, you really aren't all that useful are you? You don't get suspicious when your master starts acting different and hasn't shown his real face in months?

I'm so glad we didn't actually have to put up with any Stephen Sanders secret identity bull. By the crimson bands of Cytorrak, I'm glad Dr Strange is back.

I loved how Dr. Strange was pissed that the door was unlocked. Time for a roommate meeting!

Once again, the Doctor is in. He's back to being Strange, and not a Strange-r. Good to see you back, dude.

This was an okay story, helping set up the Defenders. It was also fitting to have Baron Mordo in the "superhero" suit that Doc was wearing in the last few issues of the Doc's book. Both foe and look were atrocious, so good riddance to both of them!

I liked the artwork. It was very retro, seemingly paying homage to the original look of Dr. Strange by Steve Ditko around the time he debuted in Strange Tales. Nice touch by Don Heck and Frank Giacoia.

3 stars. More for what it pointed to than what it did. And a good enough backup story for the Defenders' debut.

Not bad. Origin of how he regained his powers. It is convenient that the Ancient One can fully restore Strange's powers without any rituals, but only with the caveat that he can never again relinquish them.
