The ending could be better. Two stars

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are back. The door is opened for the Black Widow to join the Avengers. So I can take the fact that it wasn't that great of a story overall.

3 stars just because Black Widow is hard

I really did miss Quicksilver and the Witch...... that was probably the worst roster for the avengers since they've been gone.......

Did this guy seriously plan to use the only supper powered Avengers as a ploy to capture and steal the powers of the Avengers without powers? Maybe you could say that the Wasp and Goliath had powers but why would he need to steal the power to grow ten feet when he himself can make himself fifteen feet?/How hard is it to make your life forms smaller? He should have left when he had the chance...

Despite how dumb a lot of it was, I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

"We"ll die before we kill a threat to the whole world!" Clearly not in the right business...

I'm giving it an inflated rating because of Black Widow threatening to murder a dude. That was delightful.

Yay for the black widow. That's all I have to say about that.

Those Black Widow panels really made this issue. That was intense.

  MattzLadd Says:

At least they justified the salvation of the shrinking power. Not the worst cop-out I have seen.

This stretch of the Avengers has been dreadful. Nits ue how much longer I can tolerate Heck's sketchy art.

If Colletta inked Heck's art there'd be like 4 lines per panel.

3 stars for more Ixnay and the Ultroids!

Star Wars - This can't be the same race that Dominus took over that was mentioned in X-Men 21. Unless he took over a race of Ultroids? Or, another planet in the Sirius Star System??

1313 Mockingbird Lane - +1 star for Goliath being a Munsters fan!!!

Mixup - I think Heck got Ultrana and Wasp mixed up on page 8, panel 4...

Black Widow Baby - Love those eyes that Tasha flashes at Ixar at the end.

'Nuff Said - "The Avengers can surely handle a rampaging computer--"-Wasp

Man Mountian, Hawkeye's pet name for Goliath made me snort Mtn. Dew through my nose.

I also like who the panels have been starting to very more, instead of being 4 to 6 per page with the occasional full pager.

Yay that's over!
3 Stars

It wasn't great, but the battle's climax with Natasha was excellent. 3 stars.

The story wasn't great but i did like the black widow ending. That was pretty bad-ass and the most interesting thing with any substance to happen in a long time with the avengers.

  GroovyGolem Says:

With the close of this story arc, it made me realize how fitting it was that the climax of "Avengers Age of Ultron" took place in the fictional European town of Sokovia.

Silver Age Marvel loves its fictional European towns.

@GroovyGolem: Speaking of which, I wonder if the Ultroids gave Hank the idea to create.....nah, it can't be that big a coincidence.......can it?

I can't wait until these heroes start killing bad guys... at least Black Widow was willing to do the dirty work.

  Judassiah Says:

  + Black Widow.
+ Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are back!
+ Clint and Natasha to the rescue.

+ Captain America and Hawkeye being good partners is a nice development I've noticed in the last two issues.

2 stars. Roy Thomas villain creations have been lackluster.

At this point, I have a hard time reading Roy Thomas, who apparently wants to be Stan Lee, but wordier. Everybody explains everything, all the time.

Oof Black Widow you my girl got damn. If the Ultoids don't appear again, I'm head canon-ing it as she just straight capped Ixar.

I love the subplot of the black widow possibly killing him and hawkeye keeping quiet. Everything else about this story was bad though.
