I think that Stan must have had a roulette wheel in his office with a bunch of random villains on it. Jack: "Stan, what's the story for this month's Captain America?" Stan: "I'm late for a haircut, Jack, just spin the wheel and do the whole 'Marvel Method' thing. ". *sound of roulette wheel*. Jack: "The Tumbler?! @&#%! I wonder if DC is hiring."

Yay, dense exposition page on a character that nobody could conceivably care about!

Aside from being mildly impressed by his juggler's-pin dodging skills, the Tumbler left me limp.

The Tumbler seems like a Batrock knockoff and his origin is just stupid.
This Cap arc is really boring.

So, what was it that Cap had that the Adaptoid couldn't imitate?

The Super Soldier Serum in his blood?

Also, I hate how people say he has no powers when I'm pretty sure they know he does.

Just 2 stars for the Tumbler...I suggest listing to Culture Club's "I Tumble 4 Ya!" while reading this story.

No Brainer - I think the Tumbler and the Acrobat should team up as the new and improved "Torrid Twosome"!!!

Adapting - Did the Tumbler's tale put the Adaptoid in sleep mode???

Bound - When Cap was trying to get out of the ropes; I guess he forgot about his razor sharp boots. That are great for you know, cutting ropes and stuff...(TOS 59)

Fraud - Cap should've known that Jarvis was a fake last issue. He kept talking about working for Master Stark. When everyone knows that they can't stand each other! You never see them together!!!

'Nuff Said - "I'll demolish you for this--!"-The Tumbler...he tumbles 4 ya

I actually sort of liked this big brawl of a story. I always laugh at Stan's seeming desire to run away with the circus, but it was cool to see the Tumbler mop the floor with the Adaptoid, and then see Cap do the same to the Tumbler!

Loved the line about the beaten cabbage!

  Why the Tumbler?

Because The Shot Glass couldn't hold enough whisky to drink after reading this one.

Again with the photographic memory! What do you do, go back and re-read all involved characters before reading a new issue? Who else remembered those boots???

Did you read my response to your question in X-Men #23?

I'm really a Watcher that actually does his job and just watches...mostly women's showers though...

:)

wow, what a downfall from last Issue's mystery style to this action-filler-issue with no real background because ...seriously, the tumbler and his background...forgettable at best.
The best part was the switch from fake cap to real cap and with it the change in who clearly has the upper hand in battle.

My assumption on the missing "thing" the (still-not-super-)adaptoid was wondering about: Experience and a developed instinct out of that

I was hating this issue until the real cap jumped in and schooled the Tumbler. I have a long standing fondness for heroes occasionally outclassing an arrogant foe.

Add in Batroc and you'd have the Torrential Threesome!

Three stars for the incredible Troubler...I mean, Tumbler. (One of your comic bags have become chemically unstable...The Troubler).

I liked the Adaptoid not understanding that he didn't have Cap's experience and then Cap giving the Acrobat/Batroc imitation a schooling.

If your mission is for Cap to die, why didn't you just off him last issue?
