It's great that Q,er, Gaffer, invented the invisible car but the driver is still a visible target when in it. Love the classic cliffhanger ending.

Dr. Strange is moving along nicely. I like the panel of Mordo crying out for sympathy as he floats through space.

Woo's face when he's concentrating on remembering about his foe is so well defined and drawn... It has a certain 3D aspect to it that other drawings from this period don't. I love how it foresees the improvements of drawing in the next decades.

I think Nebulos would be right at home playing a boss in Final Fantasy. Overall the Doctor Strange stories seem to show a pattern of getting help from a more dangerous baddie to beat the current one. Hopefully they're able to start steering away from doing that every month.

4 stars to both. Fury is phenomenal yet with untapped potential, a rare and joyous espionage tale.

So much treachery and mystery revolving around Nebulous... I'm excited to read on, this is the stuff I miss from the 90s issues I loved.

I'm loving the art in this Fury story, and the ending leaves me wanting more. The Strange story was decent, a cliffhanger ending in this as well.

2 stars for Fury ordering take out!!!

Risk Factor - I guess Fury didn't think much of Yellow Claw by not taking Woo with him. Hell, he didn't even rip his shirt off!!!

'Nuff Said - "If yer lucky, you're gonna see it in action in another minute or two!"-Fury to Contessa

I still can't get over how I never read these SHIELD stories as a kid. I would have loved them. I had no idea they were so Bond-like.

I like how Steranko felt the need to give Cap an appropriate exit from the story, since he was in the last panel of the previous issue, but this made it seem like he's just hanging out at SHIELD HQ, trading war stories with Fury and checking out cars. And the guy is still mooching off Tony Stark! Somebody at least give him a motorcycle or a subway token... Anything. He's Captain America. He should be able to provide his own transportation.

I expected Gaff's manner of speech to be more... Scientific? He sort of talks just like Fury.

I love that whole sequence of Fury's fight with the Claw's goons on top of the car. Nice action scene, especially yanking 12's arm up, smacking his head against the roof of the car and stealing his weapon, all in one motion. I also liked the shot of Fury landing on the pavement after jumping off the car on Pg10/P3. Nice use of the wide panel there.

And come on, you really can't beat an underwater cliffhanger with a giant octopus.

When I saw that the Yellow Claw's soldiers in the car were numbered 1, 12, and 13, I desperately wanted it to just be a clown car of henchmen, with 13 guys just crammed inside.

Fury's Charlie Chan impression was nearly as cringe inducing, here in the 21st century, as Mr Fantastic's casual sexism over in FF.

Overall, for all its 60's sensibilities, a very entertaining book with amazing art
