It kinda bothers me that they do not even mention or bring up the fight that the Super-Adaptoid had with the X-Men...

So they just hand the damaged but very likely dangerous android to the police? To do what exactly? Why not take him to Tony Stark to analyze/deactivate?

Are there any good Adaptoid stories?

Loved Hercules becoming a full member...... this is actually starting to shape up to be a good line-up after they get over some of the bumps along the way.......

  The Super-Adaptoid is terrible.

Uh oh, bitter Pietro has me concerned. Fun issue, though Thor and Iron Man seemed to be kinda jerky. "Is Cap here yet? We have better things to do than hang our with you nobodies."

Hopefully that will be it for the Super-Adaptoid for a while, these composite villians are always so predictable, yet frustrating.

3 stars for Perfect Cell. I'm disappointed that Captain America didn't instant transmission to King Kais planet to save the Earth... Wait, I'm getting my stories confused... It's not my fault the Adaptoid looks like Cell.

Yeah, I'm sure the NYPD has facilities strong enough to hold a villain that the Avengers were only able to defeat by pure luck.

At least Wasp is finally becoming a little more useful, instead of just being knocked out or captured. It only took them 5+ years, too!

I'm not a big fan of Super Adaptoid, but this story did have some good things going for it. I'm curious to see where Thor and Iron Man are off to. I'm curious to read more about Cap's decision to...well stop being Cap. I also want to see what happens with Black Widow since she wants to retire and where her and Hawkeye's relationship goes. I also want to see what's going to happen with Quicksilver now that he's starting to despise humans again. Good plot openers on all of these. Oh, and Hercules is great, glad to have him as a member now.

3 stars for a Super Adaptoid story that wasn't half bad!!!

Cover Me - Funny, that the Scarlet Witch is the damsel in distress, and not the Wasp!

Reverse - And, here starts the Quicksilver that we all know and loathe. I'm going to miss the old Pietro!

Adapt - @imeco: I agree, the last time that we saw the Super Adaptoid he reverted back to his old self and fell into a frozen lake!

Drama Queens - @duncanm: I guess Roy couldn't come up with a better way to get Thor and Iron Man out of the way. I blame Space Phantoms!!

Hidden Years - What was Caps urgent mission that he almost missed the party??

Size Matters - Cool scene of Goliath and Wasp fighting the Super Adaptoid right under everyone's feet!!

'Nuff Said - "Nay, mortal flea...my own powers are far greater! Observe, as I...UNNNHH!"-Super Duper Adaptoid

It wasn't great, but it was good enough. The ending was predicts le, but it was mostly good fun.

Extra star for the scary foreshadowing at the end. Quicksilver's starting to get a bit of character depth.

Roy Thomas was back to his regular wordy self with this issue. This took me almost as long to get through as the 49-page Avengers Annual! Still, an entertaining story, for all the reasons mentioned by others.

I got a kick out of Panel 3 on the last page which dated the issue horribly, what with its reference to Napoleon Solo from The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and mentioning how groovy color slides are!

Well, we've finally seen the last of the Adaptoid for awhile. About 800 issues worth in the Order.

Still, kind of a fun story. I'm not sure how or why Pietro thought it would start to use all of its powers though. Even by Silver Age standards it was a bit of stretch for logic.

And I think the jerkish turn in Quicksilver is really a setup for a story arc itself. Little did Roy know that this turn in behavior would last much longer than one arc. But, let's not give too much away.

Not a very good villain, but well-used here to demonstrate the abilities of the newest line-up.

It's pretty refreshing to see the public celebrating the Avengers, what with Modern Comics being more about them being persecuted. Hercules is a great addition, and is frankly a better character at this point in the order than Thor.
