I think every issue with an LMD should automatically get one star. Captain America? Of COURSE a bunch of people are dressed in Cap costumes. And NOW there's an LMD of Cap! These stupid LMD's are just about the worst invention. CHEAP way to get Steve back in the suit, most certainly.

Too quick. Convinced again just like that.

While the Captain America story had an interesting premise, it was executed much, much better in "Spider-Man No More".

That crisis of conscience took all of 10 pages.

I blinked..... I thought Cap was quiting???

This whole premise doesn't make any sense. The baddies know that Rogers is Captain America due to the fact that he retired. So why are they going after the guys dressed like Cap? And for that matter why would it require them to know who Cap is, if they could have just tried to kill the guy in the suit at any time?
Where the flip did that "aerial wire" come from? It's not there in any of the previous panels.
Flagpoles: another thing that Stan does not understand the workings of.
Kind of a flimsy excuse to get Cap back in action, but at least his "retirement" is over.

1 star for Cap trying to live life as a civilian. Poor Cap, he never got to take up pottery, or dance lessons, or even seeing America in an RV!!!

Vigilante - The opening scene reminds me of The Dark Knight's opening scene with all of the Batman wannabes!

Damage Control - So, was there anybody else in the building that the Sniper fired into with his explosive pellet??

Who the heck didn't know that Steve Rogers was Cap already..?!?
Steve can't make up his mind what he wants to do.
Story was corny of course, but Kirby did have a couple nice panels in this.

At least now that everyone knows who Cap is, he won't have to worry about introducing himself. He's not that good at introductions.

I, for one, am shocked... SHOCKED... that Cap didn't use his time off to go join the circus.

This was a goofy tale, bolstered by some good action. It started out well enough, in spite of the logic holes, and even had a couple of sub-plots thrown in, and SHIELD cameos, and then suddenly... It was over. At least it had a happy ending.

@Locust75 -what's worse? FIngering the wrong Cap or cheerfully rubbing him out? Talk about your happy endings...!

And that Sniper sure knows how to rock a beret.

You know, he could've pulled off this retirement thing if he hadn't revealed his alter ego identity that made him the target of every cheap hood. That just permanently shut your retirement window, Steve.

2 stars. Decent enough premise, but it should serve as a strong reminder about attempting retirement in the future, since this one lasted all of 10 pages.

One star. AGAIN! Seriously. Cap quits and suddenly the city is filled with idiots dressing like Captain America and every gunsel is gunning for them. Seriously? It sounds like a self-correcting problem to me. Go on, Steve, I hear the Carribean is good this time of year.
