I liked the idea of having the 3 extrasensorial types looking for distrubaces somthing of a mistic think tank. Really cool notion for it's time

Brilliant strategy for the Doctor. But a humbled Dormammu is doubly dangerous.

Didn't Dormammu already agree not to attack Earth once before, only to break his word? The heroes of the Marvel Universe are way too trusting...

I love that these stories are some of the most tolerable against the weaker enemies in other titles. Artwork is always excellent. Ditko's style in mysticism is comparable to Kirby's machines.

The character appearances says this is the first appearance of “The Witch”. Am I the only one who missed her..? Decent ending to this..now I wanna see Strange save Clea.

  4 stars for the rematch!!!

About Time - Finally, Mordo gets punished!!!

Battledress - I do like Dormammu's headpiece that he wears for battle!

Muggle Ways - I do like the ideal of using a regular bomb on Strange, but I question if pushing the button slowly would do anything or not?

'Nuff Said - "I was beaten by a mere human!! Oh, the stinging shame of it!!!"-Dormammu

Miss Cleo... 2 stars for being a story even Miss Cleo could have predicted.

Bombs away... Drama Gerbil says hi...

I didn't quite grasp the pincer concept, but the fight was entertaining and the Dormammu / Mordo arc has been ended satisfactory, and a new one blissfully set up.

Good wrap up, but I'm taking off a whole star for Baron Mordo being a mealy mouthed punk and Dormammu literally telling us how absolutely stupid fighting Strange physically was instead of using his BY FAR overwhelming mystic might against him.

I do love how he taunts Stephen over Clea's fate, though.

  1. This arc is really losing steam. This is the second boring one in a row

Doctor Strange become one of my favourite characters. Good story, perfect plan and even better ending.

Well, Mordo got what he deserved. He shouldn't a oughta done dat.

I love the flailing character poses Ditko creates during the battle. It heightens the sense of seeming desperation on Strange's part, as well as showcasing Dormammu's strength.

Loved this one. Great taunting by the dreaded one! Still wish Stan Lee was a bit stronger on the scripts. Although he has improved.

I wasn't a fan of this one, actually. Wasn't Strange going to become head of some inter dimensional council if he won? I was kinda looking forward to that storyline. Then Dormammu taunting Strange with his hand on his hip seemed somewhat un-Dreaded One-ly. And then it began to drag mid-story with too much back-patting. Thankfully the trio's bomb-planting at the end saved the story for me.

Another average ish. I'm ready for Clea to cease being the damsel in distress.

Good point about the winner gettng a voice in the Supreme Council. I forgot about that but so did the writers obviously! Too bad! I agree it would have been an interesting storyline.

  • That's my line – "If you refuse, it means you fear me... It means you wanted Mordo to attack me from behind!" (Doctor Strange, learning the ways of manipulation)

  • Humiliating defeat for Dormammu! I knew it was a bad idea to feel overconfident so he totally deserved it.

  • Mordo is being sent to the Dimension of Demons. But for such an evil character, this is the equivalent of being sent to the corner, right?

  • Why bother at all having Dormammu swear he'll never attack Earth again? He broke that oath once! Who knows if he will not break it again?

  • I like how the leaders slip back into their own dimensions after Dormammu's defeat!

  • The story was decent, but now I'm feeling they are stretching it a bit too long. I mean, it's already hard for us to keep interest in a long arc and we can read the stories back to back. Imagine the poor guys who had to wait like what, more than a year to come to a resolve on this one? Good ending with the bomb though, so 4 stars!
