-I'm beginning to think this whole thing was just Shooter's version of "The Stand."
-M-O-O-N, that spells "ripoff."

Wasp's writing was terrible in this one. And the last few...

Also, Xavier's decision making as leader of the X-men is like how Odin runs Asgard. No discernible rhyme or reason.

Toning down the action for a character driven issue is a bad choice here, because Shooter's characterization is really poor, and nearly everyone in the issue suffers for it:

The characterization of nearly everyone in this is off.

  metasynthie Says:

The cliffhangers that just end with Reed or someone going "WHAT THE--" are actually kind of funny.

I can't believe Shooter still thinks the Wasp is a dizzy ditz, decades later. Has he even been reading his own department's writing? And where did he get the idea that Rhodey's the type to act out "Hey, only other black person. How's it going, baby." C'mon, you know that's what Shooter was thinking.

Shooter is terrible at this. Delegate man, delegate.

  TheAmazingGatorMan Says:

The Lizard couldn't be more off character. If he was truly that injured, he'd be even more dangerous to Jan. And I hate to admit this, but I actually wasn't upset to see her go down with they way Shooter has utterly raped her character.

  Titens Says:

This series keeps on getting worse every issue... or maybe my patiente is just running out.
At this point, I can say there's something about the size of the conflict, or something related to that, that keeps me going. Because everything else is terrible, especially the x-men treatment(which happen to be my favorite team at this point of the order).

  ClownShoes Says:

Johnny sings "Thriller" to romance Zsaji? Does that really get women in the mood? I know it's a fun song, but it seems weird in this context.

I did like Absorbing Man and Titania's flirtations in the middle of a fight.

Agreed. That is steadily ruining this for me.
