Hackneyed and boring. Iron Man, at this point is easily my least favorite title.

I hate filler issues that have a story not even worth the week old dog crap on the bottom of my shoes.

At this point I'm docking a star every time Sitwell shows up. The only good thing about this issue is that he got smacked good and hard. Other than that, this Iron Man issue was booty.

Weird art. Bad story. Pathetic issue.

Not the best story, but fab art!

Not such a great story with yet another killer robot but I quite liked the art. Some cool panels during Iron Man's aerial battle with The Destructor.

Just 2 stars for the Demolisher...he demolishes things...poor robot, even SmokyB calls him the wrong name!!

Credit Due - Johnny Craig penciled this issue, and He also inked the last issue. I didn't mind the art, sort of between Don Heck and Al Hartley.

Put A Little Captain In You- You just knew that Stark would have a Captain's outfit!

Blueprints - If I was Stark, I would reverse engineer the Demolisher's armor. The Demolisher had him on the ropes until Drexel messed it up!!

'Nuff Said - "Must thrust back with the blow's force!"-Iron Man

"Back to the Future" writer Bob Gale has a letter in this issue, making silly predictions about Marvel characters... and in a couple cases he gets pretty close to what eventually takes place!

Not terrible. I did like how Cord's insane lust for power, recognition, and revenge was portrayed, along with his daughter's angst at his becoming unhinged. It played out like a classic B-movie mad scientist tale, even though it wasn't very original.

And give the guy credit, he built a robot that easily bested Iron Man. I liked how Tony spent the majority of the fight in a full Nelson having a disintegrator ray boring into his helmet. That thing was relentless!

I always like me a Sitwell appearance too.

Next issue... The return of the Freak!! :-D

A guy with an axe to grind against Stark devises a robot or weapon to use against Iron Man. Cookie-cutter plot from Tales of Suspense.

But that was one hella powerful robot that gave Iron Man a run for his money. Thing is, with the way Iron Man's armor goes through power, I could set a pair of those wind-up chattering teeth after him and it'd still take 15 pages and a lot of angst about the strain on his heart before he'd emerge victorious. I think it's time to get drama from a different plot source.

2 stars. First Whitney Frost, now Janice Cord. Sitwell is becoming a hit with the ladies!

Huh. I added a star because Sitwell was there...

To each his own, I guess.

Do the girls on the yacht think that Tony drowned? I mean they had to notice by now that they don't have a captain anymore...

Extra star for Johnny Craig. Just the mad look on Cord's face was brilliant!

Sitwell is the only thing that kept this from a 1-star. Weak art, weak story.

Not bad, but predictable and it's too similar to some other previous Iron Man stories.
