Reed: Do you have a portable bazooka within reach? Wyatt: Yes! Right there...in back of the buggy!

...how convenient...

I hate to see a return to the silliness of the early 60s here. Weak sauce!

Pretty weak for a FF story

So typical of the russians to screw up life for the indians in America! Gotta hate those commies...

They don't have a ff issue for a long time, and then when they make one it's horrible

Somewhere after all of the classic FF stories we've been through, a stinker had to pop up eventually.

It's been awhile since I've 2-starred an FF story. Also, "Guest Starring Wyatt Wingfoot!" isn't a selling point.

Wyatt can be rightfully banished for 50 issues for bringing us a stupid villain and story.

A corny 2 star story made worse by the casual racism throughout the issue. This one hasn't aged well.

For a guy named Silent Fox he sure talks a lot. So much that he owned a cell phone in 1968.

Just 1 star for Tomazooma's revenge!!!

The Tribe Has Spoken - When is Wyatt's tribe named the Keewazi? I know in FF #54, Wyatt said he was Comanche. Maybe the Keewazi could be a small band of Comanche. I never heard of the Comanche, or any other plains tribe using totems. Also, the terrain shown is pretty rough for Oklahoma, even for the Panhandle region!

Gum - Now to be fair about the bazooka, Wyatt tells Reed that they already tried using it with no effect, and Reed saw them fighting Tomazooma with advanced weapons. So...

'Nuff Said - "What's that rovin', red-skinned mass of muscle up to now?"-Flaming Johnny

Way to go Reed, your wife is in the hospital, your baby is about to be born, no one knows what's going to happen because of the cosmic radiation you got her exposed to, and you go off and risk your life, presumably without telling her. Worst husband in Marvel right now.

Crystal: Don't you boys worry about me! I'll take care of the cleaning and the rest of the women's work while you're gone. I've got the baby covered too! Toodles!

Silent Fox: Hmm... Pale face rubber man right! Heap big robot won't smoke-um peace pipe!

Yikes.

Also... Reed gets pretty tiny here. Talk about shrinkage! Is this the smallest he's ever compressed himself?

  Russ Says:

Absolutely horrible story. Racism, sexism, and a gratuitous return of Wyatt. He'd been missing from the pages for awhile, and has been sorely missed, but I hate to think the sum of his existence boiled down to this appearance.

I think the seeming technological advancement of Wyatt's tribe was an attempt to tone down the racism, but all it did was make the tribe look like a Native American Wakanda clone. It doesn't surprise me we don't see much of them after this.

1 star. Clearly a filler issue before the epochal Annual #6. But they could've done a LOT better for a one-off.

This is what happens when they add an annual to Stan and Jack's work load.

In all honesty, for all the stupidity, nonsensical-ness, and, well, vague (okay not so vague) racism, I kinda enjoyed this story.

What a waste for a Fantastic Four Issue...
But I somehow can't give it only 1*...it was not that bad...just bad with some little highlights here and there.
(e.g. big hand reed, rubber ball reed, dropkick thing)
