I'm always in the mood for a Mysterio caper. I wonder how these villains know their own personal hero is goiong to show up? I mean, what if Thor happens to be flying by when Mysterio pulls his crime?

Brilliant! The plot and cliffhanger is absolutely brilliant!

I love the slow roll out for Gobby's return.

Mysterio is such a great villain. Corny as hell, but I love it. Nice little cliff hanger, too.

Norman Osborn is a great villain for Spidey. It's awesome to see him back in the green and purple threads.

Peter hasn't forgotten his oath..but he lets Mysterio run right past him and escape when he could have stopped him. Now why does that scenario seem familiar?

4 stars for more Mysterio madness!!!

Priorities - Spidey talks about seeing Aunt May first, but waits to see her last!

Ol' Skinflint - Always a fun scene with more J Jonah hijinks!!

In Mourning - A sad day when Spidey has to sell his bike!

The Web - I've always wanted Capt. Stacy & Robbie to find out Spidey's identity, and help support him with fighting crime!!

Pot Meet Kettle - Mysterio calls Spidey's costume corny...

Splash - Like AmazingGatorMan said, amazing cliffhanger on a full page panel!!

'Nuff Said - "No one who is only six inches high can save himself from total annihilation--"-Mysterio

I love how our hero is always short on money and has many every day problems in a addition to the super villains. However, I can't stand the Aunt May plot device that never ends.

The only thing getting me through the old Aunt May needs a doctor ploy is by believing that she's faking. A bit more of the old emotional blackmail to keep Peter good and obedient.

Man, how I love reading the Spidey stories. Head and shoulders above everything else in the Order at this time... there's just such a rich canvas to work with. The beauty of it is that Peter's storyline is just as interesting as Spider-Man's.

Pg6/P4 made me realize how perfectly Sam Raimi nailed it in Spider-Man 2 with Pete on his bike selling pizzas. Such a great nod to the comics to feature the bike and helmet.

It was great to see Gwen and Peter reconcile. Pg9/P5 and Pg11/P4 say it all. Nice to see Ol' Petey have things go in his favor once in a while.

Unfortunately, all that cash earned by selling the bike is going to go towards fixing Anna Watson's front door! D'oh!

I cry foul on Mysterio's quick defeat of Spider-Man, though. Perhaps it was the psychedelic powers of his helmet clouding Spidey's brain, but I would have expected his spider-sense to get him through that smokescreen with ease. Still, the cliffhanger was so great I'll go along for the ride.

And how cool has Norman Osborn's slow descent back into madness been? I love Pg12/P3, where he's just skulking about in his office in his Green Goblin costume without his mask on. He's losing it!

The full page splash at the end....now that's how you do a cliffhanger!

Peter and Gwen reconcile. Let's see how long this one lasts!

As mentioned above, I wonder if Mysterio's psychedelic helmet contains a chemical that can fool Spider-Man's spider sense. His defeat of the wall-crawler did seem a little too easy. If that's true, Mysterio's threat level gets bumped up at least a couple of notches.

4 stars. Excellent as usual story, advancement of the sub-plots on all levels, and a six-inch-high Spider-Man. Time for a team-up with Hank and Jan!

Did anyone notice that when Peter put his shirt over the spidey suit, the tear in it showed his skin instead of the suit?

The eternal frailty of Aunt May's psyche bumped this down a star. I don't know how much more of this I can take!

That is the sole reason this Issue is not getting 5*...it just gets a little too repetetive for me. This woman can stand NOTHING, she now mustn't ever watch TV again....ridiculous...

The rest of this Issue shows, why Spiderman is by far the best thing in the Order. Has a main-story, und so many nice subplots that not just flow by (except Aunt May ofc), but seriously progress the WHOLE story around a guy called Peter Parker who is secretly Spider-Man! Comic History in its finest...
