Can the Hulk really survive in outer space?

@Redsvetz: It doesn't seem that strange considering all the other crazys**the can survive. Just think of him as a space ship. His skin keeps all his insides pressurized.

This issue gets an extra star for me for the Hulk clawing his way up a spaceship engine against all the exhaust. I really genuinely love how the Hulk stories are always about some supervillain or the army or some cops saying, "This will stop the Hulk!" and then there really isn't any suspense about it or anything, the Hulk just destroys anything in his path. I was afraid that we'd be going through years of me saying, "Why is this a problem for him if he can do this in this other issue?!" but instead, he just dominates everybody. Which is cool.

this book is better than these aliens verses Hulk stories have been so far: great panel with hulk fist(4-)

I've never seen this Galaxy Master guy before. Looks like it might be a pretty good Science fiction story.

I'm all for The Hulk surviving in space, but at least make him hold his breath.

Also, I'm not sure why the "Brain Beam" on Banner wouldn't show them that he is the Hulk. Banner is very aware of his condition.

How can the Hulk survive in the vacuum of space?

Someone please teach Stan the concept of gravity/zero gravity and vacuums ( not the kind his mom used to clean house either). This is sort of painful to read being well versed in physics.

Other than #science... This was an alright issue. Reading this midway through October seems to be fitting.

Hulk vs. the Gigantic Space Loogie. No joke...I'm pumped about this one.

So the aliens brought Banner back to life just to probe his mind and then kill him again. Love it!

3 stars for the 1st app of the Galaxy Master...I heard he has to report to the Masters of the Universe!!

Stylish - Is it me, or do the Sagittarians dress like SHIELD Agents??

Public Enemy No. 1 - You get the feeling that Ross & Talbot blame the Hulk for everything! Burnt toast...Hulk did it! Dow drops...Hulk did it! Bird flu...Hulk did it! Prank call...Hulk again!!!

Whippersnapper - @jfpj1991: They used to have those signs outside of hospitals and churches back in the day!

Peeling Potatoes - I wonder if Cap knows about Bucky II going AWOL??

Deep Thoughts - Hmmm...Banner thinks of Talbot and Granny from Looney Tunes, but not Betty...

'Nuff Said - "Flying Bubbles come this way...to attack Hulk!"-Hulk

I got a feeling that Ridley Scott read this issue. Hulk entering one of the exhaust pipes is much like the final scene in the first Alien movie from 1979.

I like the tiny Hulk just barely seen on pg 19, clinging to the bottom of the ship.

Also, the visibly sagging purple pants on pg 10 are a nice touch.

Someone should maybe tell Thunderbolt Ross about Thor and the rest of Asgard as well if he thinks the Hulk is the only one capable of destroying a planet.

First swamp men, then a giant robot, and now aliens... What other crap antagonist can they throw at Hulk in this arc?

Not overly impressed with this Galaxy Master character. Seems like a throwback to the early '60's run of the Hulk. But having Hulk crawl in through the ship's engine exhaust was pretty cool.

2 stars

it's good to have Stan back on this title... He gives the complicated science concepts a much-needed level of gravitas.

I, for one, find it refreshing that he also doesn't insult our intelligence by pointing out the obvious, lower-level concepts, such as Hulk using magnetism to stand on the outer hull of the spaceship.

My only real disappointment here was that we never got to see the mother of all juju plants that can bring the dead back to life. Maybe next time.

The Galaxy Master was probably a big influence on a young Keith Geffen. Geffen loves flying mouth monsters.

Would have been 4* if not for the unexplained Hulk-can-breath-in-space shenanigans. The whole action sequence in space was very nice. I also digged the flying globules.
Hulk single-handedly destroys a rather big star-ship....impressive...the Hulk more and more becomes the one I loved as a child (that many moons ago)
