I kinda liked the way they did those last couple of pannels

Man, for being a successful lawyer and the D.A. you really are a complete moron aren't you Foggy?

Also page 16 panel 4. Ouch!

I wasn't expecting Karen to acknowledge she's asking Matt to be the facade she fell in love with. Of course there's no follow-up and later she's again pining for a guy she had just said never existed, but still.

And sure, tell the cabbie you're in no hurry at all. You get to see the entire city that way.

Daredevil was doing fine there for a while. Then we go to one-issue stories and back to the garbage again. What's really irritating is the "no continued" nonsense doesn't extend to the trumped up romantic crap that gets shoehorned into every issue.

This should have been a multi-issue story. The prison siren should have incapacitated DDs sensories making him easy prey for the Gladiator. A little disappointing.

Please let this be the end of Karen for a big long while. Way too whiny and selfish. Where's Elektra already!?

I hope Karen's plane crashes. Also, Foggy's one of the dumbest characters in the Marvel Universe. Yeah, give the supervillain some sharp objects. That's a great idea, Foggy.

The art is even a touch improved after our last instalment, but only a smidgen. There is some attempt at storytelling here, but again nothing compelling. How this Gladiator ever became such a formidable villain, I couldn't say. (2-)

2 stars for the Gladiator going stir crazy!!

Cover Me - It looks like Gladiator is wearing woks on his hands!!!

Script - I like how they crammed in the word "man" into the word balloon. (p5,p3)

Buzz - I guess these blades are an older set. Since Iron Man destroyed the last ones in IM #8!!

'Nuff Said - "I am a poor man--who runs a costume shop--nothing more!"-Gladiator

I wouldn't stress about calling in time if I were Matt, pretty sure he's better off without Karen. All she does is whine and get kidnapped. And occasionally do some actual work I guess, but given how little Matt does, that probably doesn't count.

  Russ Says:

Not much of a story here. Was the confrontation with Gladiator that important that Matt and Foggy needed to do it when Karen was leaving? Maybe it was something to do with the scheduling, but I keep thinking it was Roy's attempt at manufacturing drama where there shouldn't have been.

Gladiator has more potential as a villain than he's shown up until now, but we haven't really seen it. You can pretty much say that about the entire Daredevil series up to this point.

2 stars. Apparently Marvel doesn't think too much of the series either, with that little editing gaffe @Locust75 pointed out.

I hate the idea that a guy should ignore a woman's words. If my wife says something, I take her at her word, and she know I will. If a woman says stay away and a guy follows her across the country, it is stalking and is a crime.

"Don't get me anything for my birthday" means she is getting nothing for her birthday. And I will defend that choice until I die.

That is the tragedy of all these single issue stories. Even the good ideas that they come up with are wasted when they aren't properly fleshed in order to keep it to a 20 page story.

  Saithrenslot Says:

I know everyone hates Karen, but who else could love a lying, manipulative gentleman who pretends to be his own douchey brother before staging that brother's death at the expense of those who love him and then fakes his own death to protect his identity at the expense of the ones he loves.

But, yeah, Karen is whiny.
