Hmm... that's weird. I just read this comic today and it says I made a comment on it months ago! Bit of a mixup I think, the comic is okay but it didn't blow me away.

I really wish they'd stop subjecting me to Stilt-Man.

I like that they're not even pretending that Stilt Man is a real threat. Daredevil beats him with a single attack, two pages flat.

I think it's the first time I didn't give a Stiltman appearance only one star, but it's mostly because of Karen last line!

Wouldn't be a Daredevil arc with out his archenemy-The Stiltman!
Can't believe I typed that with a straight face.

Dad and Karen are made for each other. They're both walking talking hypocrites!

Almost gave it a one star...but it strayed into so bad it's good territory, so I gave it 2 stars.
"You dress up like Daredevil and keep the city safe! I hate you!.... You dress up like Daredevil and get me a movie role! I love you"
"Hahahaha, I have fooled you Daredevil! It is I, STILTMAN!!! And soon you will be " And he's down.

How did the DD comic survive? It is so bad, I don't think there is a single issue yet that I'd give more than 3 stars.

The FF have Doctor Doom, Spider-Man has the Green Goblin, Thor has Loki, Cap has the Red Skull, and Daredevil has...Stilt Man.

I don't even know what to say about this comic anymore. And again, as seems to be the 1970 trend, Marvel is working overtime to get people to hate their heroes.

Art is consistently poor, all action swoosh and very little detail. This title throws continuity out the window like no other and they really do here. I can't imagine why anyone would have continually purchased this comic, it is pretty dire. The change in scriptwriter was a slight improvement....or was it? (1+)

Notable for being the first comic in the Order to mention Kirby's resignation.

  MattzLadd Says:

This is perhaps the most pathetic attempt to defeat a hero by a villain. Stilt-Man makes an elaborate plan to trick Daredevil, misses, almost drowns changing costumes, and is then defeated incredibly easy.

Oh that first panel made me briefly, and frighteningly, feel like we got Mike Murdock back with how Matt was posturing in the doorframe. From that low point the issue couldn't go anywhere but up.

Just 1 star for the Stilt-Man reaching a new low...

Cover Me - Did Marie Severin sign her name on the tugboat?

Credit Due - Like MrRsBB mentioned, Gary Friedrich scripted this issue!

Peek - That lady is checking out DD's butt...(p5,p3)

Jammed - It would of have been a better story if Stilt-Man spent the whole issue trying to get out of Stunt Master's closet...

All Wet - I thought Stilt-Man only took his stilts with him. If he did bring his costume...he wasted time putting it on, only to complain about almost drowning!!??

Smooch - Poor DD, Stunt Master gets the girl!!!

'Nuff Said - "Just turn your back on me...that's it! Just a bit more...PERFECT!"-Sultry Stilt-Man

2 stars, but there are a couple things I like here. Very pleased that a lot of the fight scene is completely visual, without even thought balloons. Also, I've liked the Stunt Master arc. Not the first villain to go straight, but one of the few to be content applying his abilities to a civilian life.

Only 10 minutes to put on all that makeup?! Forget about being a villain Stilt-Man, start teaching that shit! You'll make millions!

  Russ Says:

Mixed feelings about this issue. Good to see Stunt-Master again still trying to stay straight. Stay with it, dude. Not so good to see Stilt-Man. Best part of his appearance was seeing DD take him out inside of three pages and no dialog, underscoring how useless he really is.

But Matt pulling the "career or me" ultimatum on Karen? Someone isn't happy about her love scene with another guy, and has gotten petulant about it. I can't decide if they'd do each other a favor by staying apart, or if they deserve each other. Either way, the subplot is just ridiculous at this point.

2 stars.

Another classic 'Nuff Said! Think that's why Stunt-Master stayed in the closet most of the time?

Autocorrect lol... it's been so long ago since I read this, I have no idea who was made for Karen. I wish there was an edit feature...

Not that Karen doesn't deserve it but as long as DD is helping her Hollywood career it's cool? This whole LA trip is terrible.
