RikerDonegal November 18, 2016Jim Wilson. A new character is introduced here, one who will appear again and again in the life of the Hulk. Their scenes together are good. The rest of the issue? Not so much.
Iron Man. The Golden Avenger makes a pointless appearance here. Doing nothing for ages, except standing around. Eventually he goes up against the Hulk and accomplishes nothing. Most pointless guest appearance ever.
Gammatron. Banner, Ross and all the other characters spend the whole issue making a variety of crazy assumptions about the Hulk and the Gammatron device. A device they know nothing about. They speak as if the Hulk being out of Banner is a terrible development and that it would be better if the Hulk and Banner were merged again. Thus making it easy to sedate him. Huh?! If that was all it took, then why was this never tried before?

It appears they've found someone to replace Rick Jones as Hulk sidekick. And why does Banner keeps running around shirtless? Doesn't the army has extra clothes on that base?? |

Before it made sense as he'd just become the Hulk in a matter of hours by getting mad at something. But now that he's separated he might as well be clothed. |

John Severin inking is a downgrade. There are a few good panels, but for the most part the art is not very good. The story, on the other hand is really, really good, it felt like a movie script, actually. The script is very good as well...high word count, again, and still working well(3+) |

Great story, but I can't comprehend why Banner ran from out of no where, nor why his conscience would all of a sudden worry about anyone else. |

I love when they're talking about killing the Hulk even though it will kill Banner. Don't try to kill the Hulk dummies, kill Banner instead. Or at least get the guy a shirt. |

Exactly what I was thinking. Can we please get Betty out of the army base? Doesn't she have something to do besides standing next to her father whining about Bruce. Friends? How does Ross get any work done?
The letter in the letters page is hysterical. Someone broke down Hulk's actions over about 900 pages of story. Their point was to complain that Herb's lack of imagination for the punch scene has caused it to be eliminated from Hulk stories. |

Jim was so upset at the idea of being a thief but didn't blink at being involved in a murder until he found out Banner was a nice enough person. What if Banner was an arse, would the kid have helped Hulk kill him? |

It took a little bit of reading to reacquaint myself with this arc and the Banner/Hulk separation concept. I also think they could've let this run a couple of issues longer, but this story did well to advance the current arc anyway. Besides, it doesn't look like it's over by a long shot.
Not sure what to think of this Jim Wilson character just yet. I understand the reluctant thief part that introduced him, but getting involved with the Hulk and Banner situation seemed a little contrived. Well, let's see how it plays out. Oh, and General, you could've at least fed the guy for helping you out!
3 stars. So Banner and the Hulk are back together again. These divorces never seem to work out, do they? |

Somehow, I think the cover is a lie.
Everyone does betray the Hulk. I like Jim, but is seems he was turned a bit too easily. Will he rethink this and try to free the Hulk?

What is most amazing about the science behind this story is that separating Hulk and Banner actually created a second pair of purple pants. |
