All true. Doesn't mean they'd do it intentionally. They do employ foresight occasionally.

All the characters have died at least twice, been cloned once, lost their powers, got them back, really lost them for good, then got them back... It's pretty much a staple of comic books, if it happened, it's only happened as long as someone else cant cook up an excuse why it hadn't happened. Takes the line 'death is only the beginning' to whole new levels. I'll put reasonably good money on it that he's in cap2 or 3.

Here's what I found on Wikipedia, so take it for what it is... Quote: In April 2012, Walt Disney Studios announced that it will release the sequel to Captain America: The First Avenger on April 4, 2014. Disney stated, "The second installment will pick-up where … The Avengers leaves off, as Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_America:_The_First_Avenger#Sequel

I think you haven't heard anything yet is because its not set to be released until 2014. Iron Man 3 is schedule for April '13, with a new Wolverine movie and Thor coming out before the end of the year.

To me, when I watched Captain America, I felt that by not showing Bucky hit the ground or showing his dead body, they were explicitly leaving themselves open to the possibility of using Winter Soldier later. Not that they were intending to use him, but I'm sure they consciously intended not to write themselves into a corner, just in case.
