Along those same lines, wasn't there once a show called the Highlander? If memory serves me correct, this one was a combination of mystery, magic and time travel. Anyone remember this one?

Also, he lives in a windmill. I seem to remember this being the main reason I started watching it.

It's a British crime drama about a guy who is a magician's assistant that uses his knowledge of magic and illusionism to help solve seemingly impossible crimes. It's pretty cleverly done, and also quite funny in places. It's quite old now, though, started in the late nineties.

I watched a couple episodes of this. Didn't do much for me.

Still have new series coming up over here. Smaller shows like this we tend to be a few years back on you guys in the US though.
