You guys hear about this one a few years ago? Genetically modified super mouse? Lives longer, has more sex, human scale basically these dudes are Lance Armstrong +++. I'm not sure if that Lance comparison is apt, but look for pictures of these things next to a regular mouse, they are ripped, like 3x the size of normal. And they can run for 5 hours non-stop. Makes them very aggressive though. Couldn't find an article with a decent picture, but they're doing it at Case Western Reserve university, so at least I'll be close by to welcome our new mouse overlords when they make their move.
Really, we are very close to having Captain Americas and Ironmen. It's all happening. Wake me up when we invent holodecks and power rings.
http://www.news.com.au/top-stories/supermouse-stuns-scientists/story-e6frfkp9-1111114792115I keep coming back to edit this. These mice are also like triple life expectancy, and 'reproductively active' almost right up to the end of their life spans.
