I had to disentangle my self from eve. I played non stop for 6 years from about a month after the servers launched.

It was affecting my marriage so I had to stop. Some would say I made the wrong choice...

God I loved that game.

Actually, all of this post is how I know I'm a geek!

When you're spending your Saturday watching the replay of EVE Alliance Tournament VI in the build up to Alliance Tournament X.

Normal people are excited about the Olympics and Euro football championships this summer, I'm excited about spaceships on the internet.

Well I fail at that one then because I know what they all mean. The worst part for me is when we are out in public and I am randomly whispering (so little ears can not hear), most times, sometimes that is "adult" related, ending in "thats what ____ said" or random meme's. I really need a way to take GDKP and change it over for my DH about "no dinner for you" when he acts up.

I defy ANYONE to explain "Red Hulk" to a non-comic reader and not realize that you're a complete geek.

I think post Avengers movie (light spoiler) when I was trying to explain who Thanos was, Infinity Gauntlet, etc to some non-comic friends. I stopped at trying to explain Titans and his love affair with the personification of Death. It just sounded ridiculous.

I know I'm a geek, but I really know I'm a geek when I see things like 'DPS' written on the back of UK buses before its designation number (no idea what it actually stands for) and all I think is, god that bus does a lot of damage per second...
