Well, most of the early Invaders stuff is left out. People are introduced in them, but they are pre the modern continuity. Also, several characters published in the 40's do come back later on.

Suggestions to read before The Order starts |

I've just came to '12: Tales to Astonish #35' and had to go back to 'Tales of the Astonish #27' to read the origin of Ant-Man. Surley it's not in The Order because it predates the offical Marvel Comics brand-name. I think the same goes for Captain America and Sub-Mariner. So I want to go back at these characters too, but not completly, just the origin-issue and maybe important key-points in their development...if there are any. So far I'd put these before The Order starts:
Marvel Mystery Comics #1 (1st appearance Sub-Mariner)
Captain America Comics #1 (1st appearance Captain America)
Tales of the Astonish #27 (1st appearance Ant-Man)
Are there other heros or villains who I'll met on my way through The Order? And can someone name a few important issues for The Order (-canon) that predate the list?
