Have you read any if the new Regeneration One now? Its pretty interesting the direction Furman went, and the first arc was pretty good. The artist and writer are both the same as when the first series was cancelled and completely ignores the short run Generation 2. So it seems pretty seamless.
Also have you gotten a chance to read any of the newer IDW stuff, completely different direction which I sort of like.

No worries, things like that always happen with topic people are unfamiliar with. Imagine if I just typed 'hush' into google ;)

I'm not sure where the mis communication is. Story arc is 'target 2006'.

It's a run of 10 comics 78-88 (uk) and it introduced a whole load on new characters so there isn't much back reading required.

not to beleaguer the point, but are you suggesting just grabbing #1 and going through all 80 of the American book? or reading all 300+ of the UK version (less like to happen immediately)?

I was hoping you could give me a singular storyline to check out and see if Transformers comics are for me or if they will forever remain just a cartoon a watched in my youth.

I did, probably didn't make it clear it was the title - target 2006.

Remember it was written in the 80's so 2006 was the future then :)

(PPS - No, he is in the regular show, but got popular so shows up pretty constantly in it)

I have to admit I haven't read any of the new TF stuff either, most of my reading was in the run from the 70s.

No, I mean with sesame street cancelled since 2001 in the uk, elmo must be in something else shown in the uk because he's bloody everywhere!!!

I'm not 100% certain, it might have started in 79' but the transformers was an 80's comic, pretty certain it was about 82-90ish.

And I can't give issue numbers for the transformers comics, my originally are stored away and I have reprints in graphic novels form. Not to mention mine are the british comics which are numbered 1-300ish and the American comic was 1-80....
