They should of made him a judge That would of added some depth and meaning to his character.

I think he's a great character, I kinda see him like the Marvel version of the Flash: a hero with apparently "standard" super-powers, compared to others in the same universe, but taken so far that can stun you with sheer wtf (I still remember that early number when DD followed a guy by smelling burning ions in his way). I'll look forward to the well-known run by Miller, but in the meantime, I'm stuck with the 60's Daredevil. Looks to me like Stan Lee had little clues about what to do with him. Don't even get me started on the movie Ò_Ó

I kind of hate the fact that he's a lawyer... I work in the legal sector and I pretty much loathe every second lawyer I meet.

Yeah, I think we can all agree that the Daredevil movie sucks. But that's not a reflection of the comics (After Miller starts on them, at least).

It's a great concept so I hope it continues to get better, can't really say I was too impressed by the movie however. It was kind of lame.

That was an interesting read. This reminds me of something that happens to me all the time--I'll go see/rent a movie that I think was terrible (usually a comedy). I'll have conversations with chums/the wife about said movie and why said movie "sucked ass." Later, as more of my friends see the movie, the movie will come up in conversations and specific scenes will be discussed/quoted (usually over a beer or four) and I usually will end up changing my my mind/laughing my ass off. One specific example that comes to mind is "Napoleon Dynamite." I absolutely hated this movie on my first viewing (may even have turned it off before it was over). And I still say it's not really that great of a movie, but my friends have convinced me that it has many hilarious/quotable scenes, and I agree. A conversation about Uncle Rico grabbing the steak off Chip's plate and throwing it at Napoleon still gives me belly laughs. While reading this breakdown of DD from a different point of view in the article, I thought to myself "Maybe those early issues weren't so f**kin' bad." No, no, no. I still remember. Remember the pain... However, as I posted in an issue comment the other day. I'm now viewing these issues from a more light-hearted mindset, and I'm having *slightly* more fun with "Ol' Hornhead."

Hah, that's pretty good.
Kinda makes the whole Mike Murdock thing a bit more interesting, actually. =P

That article nicely sums up why I disliked DD all through the 60's.
Nice grab Imeco.

And yeah, the bad guys are silly, but while (judging from the comments on the issue) a story with pirates, a galleon that turns into a submarine, dinosaurs and a cave-man with a pet tiger seem to put people off, I don't see any possible way I couldn't have given it 5 stars. Ok, I find myself having trouble refuting this statement.
