So, I worked out the bugs with my WWH reading order, and have included overall reasons for why I place things where I do.

Where would you like it posted?

There is also the More Reading on each issue page. If you think something should be listed there, recommend it through the suggestion submit box on that article (I have changed the name of that box cause really it should be used for more).

Now that I am thinking of it....I could add a "alternate Reading order" to the arc page, so you can see a listing of the issues in different ways that people may suggest them.

I like this idea as something appended to the Order, which could be collaboratively created either here in the forums or through some wiki style interface on the arc page or the order page. I definitely wouldn't want to change the format of the main order; what makes this the best site of its kind in my opinion is the emphasis on publication date over strict chronological order.
For me, I want to read comics as the authors wanted me to, and flashbacks or simultaneous tellings of the same events are part of that.

Thanks man, I appreciate it.

Yea, I would love to see the site as a gathering point for comic readers. I am sad to see the dropoff in the forums recently, Reed, Doom, Pyro, Bob all have disappeared; and they were pretty frequent posters.

I want to avoid the "no point" or bad design traps that some fall into. You guys have been a great help requesting features or offering suggestions to make things better and more comprehensive.

I would really love to see this site take off as a gathering point for comic readers, and I know some sites have tried the same thing, but they get bogged down in minutiae of details and reviews and what not and just don't seem to get where they want to go. Their site designs often aren't the best either. You are succeeding at a much greater level than any I've seen before, and interact with your users too.

I'll probably just work at the newer events since you're not near them, and I can skim them pretty easily (at least I could WWH). Once I start the Order (who knows when) we'll see what happens :D

Seriously, great respect for the work you do Travis. It might not be important to a lot of people, but it's insane and recognized by those who do benefit from it.

Hey, I would love to get more people in here talking and what not. I more meant that is something I would like to include into the site itself at some point, but it would be something worth having. I think you guys should go for it.

To be perfectly straight, I was thinking it was more of a thing for the user-base to work at than yourself, you already have a lot of stuff on your plate.

The main thing is that if books don't need split, the The List will cover them and you could post it straight up without any worries. So, after reading through the event using The List, or - if it's one not yet featured - try and sort the event order by themselves, splitting books when appropriate. Post it up, debate it and finally settle on one that suits most people.

I have no idea what kind of task that is for other events as I've merely used the Marvel wikia for most so far and, when they bother to, they list the books without any splitting. I've looked at a few user submitted ones from other sites as well (I figure these will have to be amended when I come to them). WWH had no accurate ones 3 pages into google, yet only needed a few books split to work along a perfect timeline. (took me maybe an hour and a bit and I haven't actually read the event in full or the ones on either end, so I know it needs a couple more tweaks to be perfect)

As a side effect, I'd anticipate you getting more site hits if you featured event orders. When looking for a WWH read list, this site popped up on google even without one - due to the World War Hulk review coupled with the CMRO title :P
Not sure if you get anything for increased hits, but it can't be a bad thing, right?

Jeez, I really do type run-on sentences at times.

Sure, I think it isn't a bad idea to incorporate a "straight chronological" order also, if people want it. Although the scope of that makes it a "in the future" kind of thing.

Till then, here in the forums is a good place to put that kind of thing up.

I confess, I do like to read comics that way - when I have the time to figure it out. I've seen some lists for the Ultimate Universe that, as I mentioned, split books up into separate panels at times - that is clearly too far. It can get to the point of ridiculousness, but I wouldn't be opposed to half a book here and half a book at a later point if it's very clear that there is a time jump.

It's hard to know where the line is, I mean, with that first World War Hulk Issue, there are 11 full issues and large parts of 2 others which happen during it (9 of which directly feature the Hulk doing things in that time frame.) and reading that comic in two parts then makes all 14 flow perfectly.

But I suppose that is just for certain people to mildly obsess over, and I'll do my thing as one of them.

To conclude, tis fine by me, just wondered what you guys thought of the idea. (Not incorporating it into The List, just making it available somewhere, much like it is elsewhere on the net. On that note though, they are elsewhere, so it's not a huge deal)
