Top 5 Villians |

Having very recently read the original appearances of Venom I'm not sure I would consider him to have ever been one dimensional. On the contrary, he was one of the most interesting villains going at the time. First of all there was the mystery of him. His first few appearances were like one or two panels here and there and all you knew was that someone had it out for Pete and could circumvent his Spider-Sense. Then when Brock finally did show up you find out that he was a good person who caught a bad break because of Spider-Man and the symbiote made him act on those sentiments. Meanwhile, he has one of the strictest code of ethics of any Marvel character, often going to great lengths to ensure that no innocents are jeopardized by his attempts to bring Spider-Man to what he perceives as justice. Sure, he looks like pure evil but he's far from it.
Carnage on the other hand is just evil for evil's sake with no real motive beyond being insane. Sure that might make him "dangerous", but it also makes him boring.

Venom I will give you. Years ago he was in the boat that Carnage is in now, all one dimensional, but they have been doing good things with him recently, so I will back off on my venom hate.

Man, so many Carnage and Venom haters! I'm afraid I'll have to take the flak for my list, but I'm sticking to it: Carnage Dr. Doom Venom Magneto Mister Sinister I agree Carnage and Venom have both been over-used, but they are also under-appreciated, in my opinion.

Time zones! I lived on the West coast for a minute and I could never figure out when to call home.

The big problem with that is you have to get everyone to sit down at the same time, which I have never seen work well for people from different places.

Do you think we could utilize IRC for a RP game? Could create a dice rolling system on the bot. Just need to set a time so that people can meet up for a game. What do you think?

Getting OT here, but I have a lot of weird RP stuff on my shelf as well. Two copies of Rifts: Manhunter and the edition of Paranoia that the company disowned.

It had a weird chart, but required 2 10-sided dice. The diceless version had charts + cards and came after. It was/is called the Marvel SAGA system.
I also have some old Mayfair DC books on my bookshelf (its like a treasuretrove of old, defunct games), and it also required dice.
