Right, I'm finding and watching this right now. It only came out the year after I was born, so I'm not really surprised I've missed it up to now.

I'm '82, so not really a difference. That film is infamous for it's badness. I hope you make it through with a sane mind. It's really hard to process. :D

I back up the Howard the Duck movie being so cheesy its great. I don't consider it a comic-book movie, but if you haven't seen it...do. Lea Thompson was great.

Just saw The Avengers. Holy shit, that was all kinds of awesome. Made it easily in the top 3 of my list. I'm still so excited. Just...wow.

See, that's what I say about it. To me, Avengers is the best Super-Hero movie to date. I know some disagree, but still..

The last 30 minutes are really unique. I haven't seen such a good mix of really funny, unexpected jokes that made me laugh hard and at the same time I had to yell about how awesome the action-scenes were presented. I've put headphones on to not bother my neighbours (it's around 4 a.m. here) and I think these last half hour I've sounded like a madman. Something like this: HAHAHA!WHATHEFUCK?!AWESOMEAWESOME!HAHAHAHA!WHAAAAT!HOLYFUCKYEAH!

Plus:

- Whedon tied the predecessors in a perfect way together. Although I wasn't fond of all these films like Iron Man, I surely will watch every single one of them a second time, just as build-up for this great conclusion. I think it's really complicated to work something out of 3 different characters where each had his own film with different screen-writers you have to follow up.

- The struggle of becoming a united crew was also very well written. It was clear that this would happen, but I expected much more lazy plot-expositions and forced battles. But that all worked for me surprisingly good. It made 'sense'.

- The tension of showing Hulk was so well build up. Ruffalo is a great actor and they had a perfect timing in letting him slowly loose his shit. The moment where he finally transforms, I was afraid he's ripping off the heads of the entire shield-crew, although I knew they wouldn't do that in a family-friendly movie (besides being out of character/lore). Good job.

- Did I already mention the over-action-packed and funny last 30 minutes? Awesome, awesome, awesome. Especially some of the team-ups. Cap deflecting the ray of Iron Man. Wowzers.

There were only little things I didn't like that much. #1 would be the costume of Cap America, #2 would be Loki invading Germany and get compared by Cap with Adolf Hitler (or was it Red Skull??). Ah, fuck the comparison but that scene with that old man standing up while the rest of the germans are kneeling down was too corny for my taste. It touched subjects that didn't matter for the rest of the movie. Perhaps followed by the dialogue between Black Widow and Loki stating russians don't give a shit about gouverment. Perhaps I misread here bewteen the lines.

But these are only minor points. And before I forget to mention this, I was also satisfied with Sam Jackson, which I didn't expect. Before this movie he was always this annoying post-credit-character looking cool and reaching out a hand, selling you the next film. But in this one his character came to live and it worked (at least for me). I had to laugh when he yells at that carrier-pilot WHERE DOES THE SUN COMES UP?, because he says it and looks in a way like he's about to shoot this pilot for calling Marsellus Wallace a bitch.

I could watch this film a second time right away!

X-Men: First Class

Blade 2
X-Men
Captain America: The First Avenger
Spider-Man

The Amazing Spider-Man
Blade
The Punisher (1989)
Blade: Trinity
Iron Man 2
The Punisher: Theatrical Cut (2004)

Punisher: War Zone
Spider-Man 3
X-Men: Last Stand
