It's believed that Liam Neeson cannot make a bad movie, and I used to believe that. But I just watched Wrath of The Titans in where the actor portrays Zeus. I don't think it's a good movie.

Yeah, I don't agree with that at all.

Liam Neeson was in a fair few movies that I don't really like. I mean... the Phantom Menace, for one.

To be fair, as many problems as there were in the phantom menace, his performance was pretty good, even with the terrible writing.

In the sentence "Liam Neeson not able to make bad movies" emphasis is on Liam Neeson not a quality of a movie. It doesn't matter what shitty movie is this (Phantom Menace - I'm looking at You) his performance is ALWAYS (and I mean ALWAYS) superb. I love his work since the first thing i saw him in, and that was TV Mini Series "If Tomorrow Comes" (which, by the way, is also one of my favourite 1980's productions)

He's bad at comedy.

No wait, that was actually pretty funny.

I am with Fragsel on this. He is superb, even in some terrible movies.

Also, for a 60 year old guy, he can still pull off an action movie (I thought Taken was bad ass)

He's can do action movies, def, but he can also play drama roles very well, too. Has anyone see the movie 'The Other Man'. It was an ok movie, but his performance really made me feel for his character.

Sure, he's a good actor. But he's been in some crap movies. His performance alone certainly isn't enough to make some movies worth watching.

Xythe, that scene is probably my favourite from that show. Really funny. The rest of it I'm not so keen on. I like to think that no comedy should be off-limits, regardless of the subject matter. Well it's not like I have any moral objections to Life's Too Short, but often it just takes things to a point where it's not funny anymore.

This thread is really odd to me, I thought it was a joke at first. I've never been more than marginally impressed by him, and I can't think of a "memorable" role. Maybe I'm not watching the right Liam Neeson movies.

No worry, green_flame_616. Some people love him, some people don't. Thats normal. But if You like to check his work again try those: Schindler's List, Michael Collins, Kinsey, Taken, The Grey, K-19. Also every comic fan should know Batman Begins (and for Hardcore Geeks there is also Darkman, which I adore, but i know that there are people who don't). I also like his early work like Next of Kin or Suspect, but that's just me.
