did anyone watch the start of this season?

Trying not to spoil anything, I have to say I wish they would stop treading old ground. They are in danger of hitting the "ross/rachel" problem Friends had.

I'm a huge fan of this show, but I haven't been keeping current because I don't have cable.
I think last season I started hoping they would bring it to an end soon because they seemed like they were running out of rope. Also Barney was in danger of becoming a Fonzi type of character and taking over the show. In a bad way.

Totally agree with DOOM. Great series, looks to be starting to run a bit dry. As much as I love it, I hope they wrap it up soon before it goes they way of Friends where the characters become caricatures of themselves.

I just watched the first four episodes last night. Hate that their bringing up (SPOILER) Ted/Robin again. Seems like this whole season's going to be about who Barney's going to marry.

Barney is going to marry someone?! I wouldn't think his psyche would permit such an event.

They seem to really be focusing on Barney's love life this season.

The season finale revealed the wedding Ted had been talking about where he met his wife was Barney's. Their going to drag it out for all it's worth though.
