I'm 7 episodes in. I just saw
Ward kill his father.

I felt like Ward's character arc up to this point made absolutely no sense. Did anyone else feel that it wasn't particularly well done?

I'm only 3 episodes in, so I can't really comment on Ward's character arc, but the character is just weak to me in general. The actor is totally wooden and does not make for an even decent villain. Other than that, I think the show has been alright so far. Definitely my least favorite of the Marvel Netflix shows so far, but it's not unwatchable by any means.

Ok, just finished the series this weekend and I see where tearsofrage is coming from. Apart from the actor that played Ward being not great, the character arc is pretty weird too. That said, I still thought the show overall was decent and didn't deserve such negative press/reviews. I thought it was about as good as Luke Cage, maybe not quite, you just have to suspend your dis belief for all of the supernatural Hand/Kung-fu stuff.

Yeah, I just finished it. The second half was definitely better than the first half, but I think that if they'd stayed closer to the source material, the show would've been great.

Pushing thru this so I can get to Defenders.....

Is it just me or does Danny hooking up with Coleen instead of Misty just feel wrong???

I felt the same way. I always liked that Colleen and Danny were just friends.

But, whatever. Colleen one of the things I actually liked about Iron Fist, so I got over it.

I was always so disgusted by the comics where it seemed like Danny and Colleen were going to be a thing and then she got kidnapped and Danny immediately starts hooking up with Misty. So, I'm OK with it. The actors for Danny and Misty also have like zero chemistry.

The hardest thing for me to get through with Iron Fist was David Wenham as Harold Meachum. I thought that was some downright terrible acting.

I just don't get the iron fist hate...

David was awesome, he was as twisted and psychotic as they come.
