I've been reading online about Agent Coulson coming back as the Vision. I personally would love this to occur. What does everyone else think about this. Would it be bringing in the comic book death phenomenon to the MCU too early?

I hadn't heard this.

As far as I know, Agent Colson is just in the movies right? I know they just snuck him into the main universe, but that was more for marketing then anything else.

Yes, Agent Coulson was a character created for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he died in the Avengers film. The thing about bringing him back would be that we would know comic book deaths are apart of the MCU just as they are on Earth-616. I think that would cheapen any on screen death we saw in the films in the future, on the one hand. On the other, Agent Coulson has been such a hit with fans, that I wouldn't really mind seeing him return as the Vision. He was a pretty cool character.

How are they determining that he was a hit with fans? I've heard this before and I always think, WTF?
I didn't really find him to be an especially strong presence.

I guess just whenever he makes appearances, he receives a strong reception or some other method of determination. I personally liked his character.

I just got to the arc that tells the full backstory of the Vision. It is really interesting, although not as interesting as the background stuff on the kree and the skrull, which was really interesting.

I really hope this doesn't happen. I don't exactly dislike Agent Coulson, but he is kinda bland and boring. The idea of him coming back as the Vision is just weird.

Vision is one of my favourite characters in the Marvel Universe, and I would hate to see him looking anything like Agent Coulson in the movies. The image just doesn't fit for me.
