I can think of the last three movies we rented and all have been out for quite sometime. The most recent was this weekend with Underworld (Awakening), when did this even come out? I guess the busier life gets the more pushed back catching a movie when its still "new" is just a myth. Anyone else like this?

I’m the same, last movie I watched when it was new was Thor. Going to try and get to see The Avengers while it’s in the cinema, but I say that about a lot of things, and usually end up renting the DVD 2-3 years later when I remember it :P

Lately I have seen 1 movie a year or so. Before the Avengers from the other day, it was Captain America. Everything else is DVD's or netflix or itunes.

Dark Shadows I am not sure if I would pay movie prices for, or a few others. I mean I love the idea of it but not the price. Our local place has a great digital area and I have even caught a few work related things there (they rent it out for local businesses) but damn the ticket prices. I just bought a house this week, movies are not in my immediate future.

Netflix is the way to go. When I go to the movies I spend at least $20. For the same price I could buy a movie, or get a month or two of Netflix with however many movies I want to watch.

Yea, their selection may not be great, but you can get your money's worth out of it. Moreso for tv shows.

Love my netflix account.

I have a netfliss streaming account.
I love having the option of watching a streaming movie/show on netfliss via my xbox/fone.
I never watch anything on netfliss.
It's all about choices, I guess.

We tested out Hulu for a bit and quickly became bored with it, so far Netflix can hold our interest but sometimes even then we still miss the fun of "going to the movies". We also have a PC in the living area so we can stream stuff (all legal mind you) but I guess I just miss the popcorn and the feel of going out.

I have Netflix but never watch the movies anymore. I really need to just cancel it. We use redbox all the time. I just rented Extremely Loud for tonight. We watched Tooth Fairy 2 and Footloose over last weekend. I seem to rent more movies now that there is a redbox near me.

I don't even recall the last time I was at the movie theater. I guess once you have a kid, priorities shift a bit. I've found I would much rather take my kid out than hire a babysitter so I can go pay for a movie that might not even be good.
