I saw a trailer for ASM at The Avengers that actually made the movie look decent. The previous trailers looked like shit. (JMO) I'm digging the new costume. Looks like they did a good job "mining the canon."
On an related note--why do new action movie trailers all need to have that low pitched "ship tearing up" "building falling down" moan sound in them? Anybody know what I'm talking about?

I'm not sure. I'm going to wait until after my thrill dies down before I say the Avengers is my favorite comic book movie.

Lol, I have said too many times "THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE I"VE EVER SEEN" and then waited a few months for a rewatch and wondered, "What was I thinking?"

Not that I'll change my opinion that drastically on this but I definitely will feel different in some way after seeing it on my own TV. Sometimes I enjoy movies more as time goes on, and I'm predicting that's how this will be but I will wait.

Still haven't seen it but my hope is that it will be the first Marvel movie to make me want to watch it twice.

I know someone else who needs to see it. I am using that as an excuse to go again. I usually have a hard time going to a movie twice.

The most recent ASM trailer I saw actually made it look really, really good.

I've never bought Tobey Maguire as Pete (And his face annoys me), so was pretty glad to see it rebooted. There looks to be a LOT of action in this movie... and there seems to be a great deal going on. The trailer does make it seem like it might be a bit of a Michael Bay-esque jumbled mess, especially if it's not very long, but I'm keeping my hopes up for now.

Why is it with superhero movies that after the 3rd one they decide that they have to reboot it? After X3, First Class. SM3, ASM. Is it so that they can use the same villains over again? If that's the best they can do then I would rather see a movie unrelated to a story arc from the comics.

In fairness...

X3 - sucked. Reboot. First Class - pretty damn good.

SM3 - sucked. Reboot. ASM - remains to be seen... =p
