I've never read either series, I'm just chugging along towards it in the Order, but mentioning a tree and raccoon, I have to hope for the old team.

But they're so good!
I demand in 13 years when you reach the new iteration of GotG in the order, you publicly apologize.

GROOT!!

Doom is right, they are very good stories...just saying it would be hard to do live action.

I hope to reach it before 13 years have elapsed. I'm not saying they aren't good stories. I just agree with Travis, seeing those characters on the screen could come across as too cheesy.

Well, we have seen talking/walking trees, so I would by him. Its the Raccoon. I have a feeling we would be entering another Howard the Duck type situation...

And CGI raccoon would be just as bad. I can't think of with a way to do him reasonable.

So after doing some reading... i have a theory:

Based on the post-credit scene of "The Avengers" they hint at a new villain (one who was behind the infiltration of the first set of baddies that Loki was in charge of) well they lost. So without spoiling to much i think that he is going to reach further out for some more baddies (TBD) and its going to get the attention of GotG. In their respective movie they will conquer them. This will piss off "mystery villain" who has ties to both the Avengers roster and the GotG roster. GotG will try to take him out, but wont fully succeed before he gets to Earth. This will of course have The Avengers step in help out and kick some ass in fine fashion. GotG, may play a minor role in the Avengers movie, but you can't have that many people at once, but maybe a war on 2 fronts kind of thing. I dont' know, what do you think?
