I know this movie and its predecessor aren't art or anything, but they cast Charlie Sheen as the President. This seems like a bad idea.

Then again the first one cast Linsday Lohan, so I guess the specialize in train wrecks.

The weird casting was one of the highlights of the first film IMHO. Bob DeNiro and Steven Seagal in the same film. Don Johnson. Loved that casting. I totally have faith in Rodriguez when it comes to casting even when I usually don't like or even hate the actors in other films (e.g. Alba in Sin City or Michelle Rodriguez in Machete 1). Same goes for Quentin Tarantino.

She tries too hard. Always that grim-looking face expression. Before I saw Machete I hated her in every role, couldn't stand her for a minute of screentime.

I kinda space out whenever I see Rodriquez on film.

I thought Machete was a pretty good movie, not sure how much it needs a sequel though. I'll remain skeptical of this, I think, but I'll gladly watch it. =P

I have seen neither Machette nor the sequel. They are not of a genre I am a fan of. Robert de Niro is my favorite actor, I don't know how could he be involved in the (first) movie.

I haven't watched the original movie, let alone the sequel. I don't know what you can expect from a movie whose main characters are knives. I have a friend who is a big fan of it though.

I'm not one who says things like this, but this is the stupidest thing I have heard. At least look up the plot or something before thinking the main character is a knife.
