I believe that at least a few of you love to listen to classical music (or not?), but I am curious if we have any classical players here? Do you do it professionally or just as a hobby?

I listen to it, I'm really very good at classical piano though. I do plan on getting a cello in the not too distant future, at which point I will work on classical stuff with it.

Speaking of the Cello, YoYo Ma's Bach Concertos are simply amazing. I listen to it pretty regularly when I need something peaceful.

It is one of my favorite genres of music. I love to listen to classical piano and violin, but I play classical guitar myself. I am not really good at it though.

I do listen to classical music a lot. I find it very soothing and calming during a tough day at work. Long ago in a galaxy far, far away, I used to play a little. Bach, Beethoven and Hayden were a few of my favorites.

That's great guys. I listen to classical music a lot myself, especially the piano pieces from great composers especially Chopin, Listz. I wish I could play the classical piano.

Chopin has some great stuff... also, sort of on topic... The Pianist is a great movie.

I play; I also teach. I haven't done as much as I can with my music, but I've finally got my head out of my ass and I'm working on getting some of my originals published.

Chopin is the God of music; Liszt is his Prophet. I also like the Big Three: Bach, Mozart, Beethoven. I consider one ragtime composer, Scott Joplin, to be Classical as well; the influence of Chopin on his music is subtle, but you can hear it if you know what you're listening for.

My dream is to play Chopin's Ballade in G minor, Op. 23. This is the greatest piece of music ever written. My previous goal, Liszt's Liebestraum #3, has been conquered. So now it's time for a real challenge.
