I am a little late with this, but designs came out a few weeks ago for some in game characters for the Marvel MMO in the works.

Hmmm, I have little faith in Super-hero MMOs. I will still take a peak when this comes out.

Very interesting. I haven't gotten in to any MMOs... but I might if this is interesting enough.

Same. City of Heros/Villains, Champions Online and DC Universe Online were all really, really good fun initially, then got stupid and repetitive very quickly. Will probably check it out if it's F2P, but otherwise I'll probably give this one a miss.

More info came out on this, apparently it is being made by a company called Gazillion entertainment (have no idea who these guys are. Didn't really do much research on them, but they aren't a big name). Also announced was that Bendis will be doing a large part of the writing for it.

The X-Men game looks and feels like it was cobbled together over a few weeks by a bunch of designers whose only experience of the franchise was watching the trailers for the 5 films.

Apparently they have decided to go with Unreal 3 engine for marvel online. Seems a little behind the times...but I guess it is a usable base to build a game off of.

That engine is still being used to make A-list games, it's the latest of the Unreal engines.
