My wife always forces me to carve a shitload of pumpkins every year. This time we decided to do some pretty awesome ones. Here's one now:

nah, not really, i got these patterns from a website and then taped them to the pumpkin and carved away until this is what was left lol

the secret is, every time the pattern starts getting loose or coming off at parts when you make a cut, just tape it back into place behind your blade with scotch tape so that it stays put, then you can continue slicing away. Those little kits that come with tiny saws really help. If you try to do this with a regular steak knife you will fail horribly in all likelyhood :)

EDIT: In all reality, i have absolutely no artistic skill whatsoever. If you asked me to draw any character you would laugh because i'm seriously on like a 2nd grade level in that regard haha

Some friends and I had a pumpkin carving party last night that degenerated to a pumpkin smashing rager, so unfortunately I no longer have a pumpkin to photograph.

Coolest pumpkins I ever saw. And I like the variety. From nerdish Mario-Ghost to creepy Pinhead. Goblin on a pumpkin is a themed winner.
