I was just reading about ComicCon, watching Tony stark and Dirty Loundry and it made me wonder: it's really easy to find some new stuff, new movies, new info. But are comic related movies, interwievs, shows about Industry I might never hear about. Like for example only last year i saw for the first time (by accident i must add) Kevin Smith talking about superman:

Do You know any archive things like that worth watching? cause Kevin Smith was amazing

I read Tom Brevoort's formspring page (executive editor of Marvel) and I check out CBR's interview with Axel Alonso (EiC, Marvel) every Friday.
Not exactly the same thing, but behind the curtain still.

You should look at Jim Shooters blog. Its not behind the current day Marvel, but its a really good look into how Marvel (and Valient an DC) were like back in the day.

I don't know about "watching" but there are quite a few comic book podcasts around. I especially enjoyed the marvel spotlight episodes on comicgeekspeak.com (just search episodes titled "marvel spotlight"). They do them by decades. Also they did a spotlight on spider-man by ages like silver age, copper age, etc

EDIT: yeah so I just got a chance to watch the video of Kevin Smith and realized that my suggestion was totally off lol. But I'm gonna leave it anyway because it's still a good podcast :)

I have toyed with the idea of, with a few other comic fans, doing a reading order podcast...going through all the comics in the order like 10 or 25 issues at a time, talking about them, what was good...what was bad...

Not sure where I would find the time, but I really like the idea.

I'd listen in for sure! Could even be a motivation to keep on reading further to be up-to-date with each episode. Love that idea! You would have some german listeners I know in addition too.

I was thinking the other day how that would be a pretty cool idea. I just wasn't sure there'd be an audience for my ill-informed ramblings :P.

Travis, seriously. That's still a great idea. You could add that podcast to The Order, so every 10th oder 20est comic book there's an audio-symbol for listening in and to revisiting the last hours of reading. And you would also attract many comic-nerds that weren't aware of this site.
Though, I guess besides real-life and expanding this database carefully and keeping the community happy, you probably don't have anymore time left to do such a thing.

There was that guy who started reading the Order and writing a blog about his experience and thoughts. I think it was a great idea, but to be honest, I'd rather go read some comics than his blog.
However, if somebody (go Xythe!) would make a podcast/audio-blog/whatever it's called and keep it relatively short (long is boring! Hulk smash!), I'd surely become a fan.

I can imagine some people would actually want to have the early Order issues described to them, rather than reading themselves (these walls of text and "repulsive" 60's art), in order to get some info on the early days of their favourite characters. After all, reading 50 years of comics is definitely an overwhelming and time-consuming concept.
