Another audio comic curiosity I stumbled upon. Back in the 70's there was a radio show in the vein of the old radio adventure series starring the Fantastic Four. I've only given a serious listen to the first one, and listened to bits and pieces of later episodes, but they seem to be straight adaptions of early FF issues. Stan Lee plays the announcer and Bill Murray plays the Human Torch (seriously, that's really him). There are 13 episodes on the Internet Archive (10 here and 3 here), one of which is a triple length episode featuring the Sub-Mariner. They're interesting little things, perhaps worth linking to on the issue pages.

Wow, that is awesome! I think that some of those old radio shows were so creative in character development because you couldn't see anything. I remember listening to old radio shows of The Phantom and I liked those so I will be giving these a listen.

Cool. I might listen to these. Not sure if Bill Murray is a fitting choice for Johnny though...

It works a lot better than it sounds. He was real young then, not sure on exact dates for this show, but this would be before his stint on Saturday Night Live I believe.

OK, that's a bit better. I honestly have no idea how old Bill Murray is...
