So... The opposite of what maidel is blaming a lack of readership on.

Hi, thanks for the sarky one liner, but please actually read my posts rather than snipe.

I have never said that all the 'free' advertising that marvel is getting from big film releases isnt helping with comic book readership. What I have consistently been saying is that the reason why comic book readership will never reach the levels it once had is because that 'interrest' and 'advertising' is being split between multiple different streams of marvel merchandising (films, toys, games, computers, graphic novels, toys etc).

That is what I was saying, because from where I sit, it seems like they are going out of their way to not pull the movie audience into comics.

Although, I guess even without that, it is working, because I get a lot of emails who are becoming members of the site, and reference the movies to why they want to read comics.

I'd very much prefer not, I don't come to seek disagreements or discord. I was just getting a bit sick of my posts constantly being dismissed or intentionally misinterpreted.

But if necessary I can borrow my wife's prada or Burberry handbags, but frankly, I think I'd bring my nans, it's like Mary poppins bag, but bigger, and heavier . :)

It's the reason why I joined too, but I don't count as being someone who was 'converted' by the films, merely given a kick to start reading the mountains I already have. (well actually the mountain is rather small seeing as its mostly digital, but you get the point.)
