I consider myself lucky for registering before the spamming. I don't think I would have gone through the effort of registering otherwise.

Yea, I am hoping that people will still do it. I am contacting every person that signs up and waiting for a response. So far 20 accounts were created today...all but one look highly suspicious.

I blame DOOM. He's been quiet for far too long. We should have guessed that he'd been planning something as nefarious as unleashing his Doombots of spam.

I didn't mind the extra step to the registration process. It protects the forum community by having that control.
