So, I made it to my next milestone! As I read through, I have issues I look forward to; it helps me keep going when the reading gets monotonous. There have been many; the intro of Iron Man, Avengers #1, the first Silver Age Captain America, first Agent of SHIELD, etc.

But the thing I've been looking forward to from the beginning is the stretch I'm at right now: 339-348 is a four-issue intro of the Inhumans, followed by the Galactus trilogy, and then the "If This Be My Destiny" arc in Amazing Spider-Man. I've read the Spider-Man one before, but I'm still looking forward to reading it again in the context of the overall order.

After this, I'm gonna have to pick a new target on the horizon to aim for. John Romita Sr. on Spider-Man for starters, I guess.

That is an excellent segment. Galactus and If this be my destiny were my highlight reads for some time, and both arcs have some of the very few 5 star ratings I have given.

I recently got into comics/graphic novels when I started watching The Walking Dead, The Avengers, Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy, etc... I wanted to start in on the print version of Marvel Universe, but was terrified of where to begin. I came across The Order and was extremely excited to have people who know what they are talking about lay the groundwork for me. Thanks to all of you who work on this, and as someone who has never read a Marvel comic, I hope to have much to contribute in terms of observed continuity.

Hey, Welcome pokesfan. You have set yourself on a big task. Look forward to seeing what you think as you read through the order.

Well, I'm back on track again. Was flying through the first 125 last summer, then received my first job as a math teacher. After a whirlwind of a year I'm picking up at 137. Had to start reading again after seeing Avengers obviously.

Hey there everyone, so I am slowly hacking away at The Order since my finals started at college and have made it 58 deep in my week of reading. I have always wanted to get into comic books (collecting them as a kid) but I just have an issue with reading/seeing things without having read/seen the previous storylines leading up to that point. Call it OCD or something, but I am just happy that between CMRO and MDCU I will be able to ever so slowly catch up to some of the more modern storylines.

So far, i dread anything with Pym in it and am (suprisingly) constantly looking forward for the Amazing Spider-Man comics, regardless that he is my least favorite among the major Marvel heroes (or possibly just the Toby McGuire depiction of him). I can finally understand the gripes that people have with Stan Lee's writing and can't wait to get out of the 60's (I have a lot of work ahead of me).

Thank Odin for the long boring summer ahead and all the free time this allows.

Don't worry, the run of Giant-Man eventually ends. So far that is probably the most painful part of the order I have read. And you will turn around on Spidey. His is by far the most consistently good book in the order (not right away, but about the time Parker graduates High School, the book really picks up).

Glad to see you stopping by and liking the comments you have been leaving on issues.

Hi all! I've been working on the order for about a month now and I'm having a blast (except, you know, for Ant-Man/Giant-Man). I haven't actually been on a message board in years, but my wife is getting sick of hearing about Jack Kirby and Stan Lee so I thought it was about time to engage.

I've been trying to pick at Marvel's history for years, and this site is a great tool for making a systematic approach. Thank you tstarnes!

Thanks shaunhamill, and create a forum account, come in and talk about all the old (or new) marvel stuff you want. You will find like minded people here so you don't have to bug your wife with it :)

I had the same problem. Don't worry, he goes away after a while.
