I hope all those effected by this terrible storm are okay. The footage that I've seen on Facebook is terrifying.

If anything, it's worse than you're seeing on facebook. Last night multiple dams had to have controlled releases, which flooded a bunch of houses. The city is a total stand still.

Both my brother and parents got flooded out and had to taken out by boat to stay in a FEMA shelter. My family is ok, we put my wife's car on the top floor of her work parking garage and evacuated to Dallas. But our street got minimal flooding, thank goodness, and pics from my neighbor show only a little flooding at our house (few inches at most)

Travis. I knew you were from Texas but didn't know from Houston. I will think about you guys every time I watch the news and hope you are safe and alright. I am glad flooding is minimal by your house and you are safely in Dallas. If there is anything we can do as a cmro family to help beyond just donating to the Red Cross let us know. This really kind of put a human face on it beyond watching news clips on TV.

Good to hear you're safe. Hopefully your house isn't too damaged.

I'm glad that you and your family are okay, Travis. It's always worse than the pictures. I was living in Staten Island when Sandy hit, and the things I saw after that storm were mind blowing ... and humbling.

Sending positive thoughts and vibes your way!
