If you accept the premise in the Marvel U that the real Frankenstein's Monster precluded/inspired Mary Shelly's "account" of the events, then what is on that page is graphical representation of events from her book as the professor imagines them (he explicitly states that he is referring to her text), rather than a flashback of the actual monster.

I think You're right. One way or another I believe he shouldn't be listed there.

It won't both me either way if he is or not listed there but I do find it odd that you all are discrediting an Official Marvel book that lists that as his first appearance.

I imagine we've already spent more time discussing it than the intern who wrote that entry so it's whatever.

I'm not discrediting anything, but a few months ago there was serious brainstorm here, on this foum, concerning flashback appearances. One thing is sure: villain in X-men 40 is not Frankenstein Monster, just an android. If (and I say If) Marvel Monster Frankenstein appears there it's only in flashback. If that flashback brings something new I believe he should be in. If not than he shouldn't. you've got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel that falshback brings something new to the story of Earth 616?" That's exactly what I do every time I ask Travis to add someones flashback appearance. It works (for me that is).

I'm very new to this wonderful site, so please excuse me if this has been discussed in the past (I'm too much of a Luddite to know how to search the site for evidence of this discussion taking place in the past). I have two suggestions for changes to The Order.

First, I think that Tales to Astonish #27 should be included before issue #35 (currently it is not in The Order at all). Issue #27 is clearly the first appearance and origin of Henry Pym/Ant-Man. Issue #35 is titled "Return of the Ant-Man" and the first two pages recount his origin from issue #27, stating "In a previous issue of this magazine, we brought you the nightmarish story of Henry Pym..." Thoughts? Again, please ignore me if this is an old topic that has been discussed and resolved.

Second, I think that Fantastic Four #4 should be placed before The Incredible Hulk #1 (currently, Hulk #1 is placed between FF #3 and FF #4). Why? Because FF #4 is advertising the coming of the Hulk throughout the entire issue. On page 2, the blurb reads "The Hulk Is Coming!" On page 3, "Who Is The Hulk?" On page 7, "What Is The Hulk?" On page 8, "You've Never Seen Anyone Like The Hulk!" On page 12, "What Is The Hulk?" Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. So, if FF #4 tells me that I've "never seen anyone like the Hulk," then I should read The Incredible Hulk #1 after FF #4, not before it (as it currently is listed in The Order). Thoughts? Again, ignore me if this suggestion is ancient history.

Thanks again for a wonderful, wonderful site. I cannot imagine how much effort has been put into creating this fantastic resource, and it certainly is appreciated very much!

Oops! I'm slowly catching on! I realized that I posted this is the wrong place, and I see that the first post in the correct spot is the TtA #27 question. So, as suggested previously, ignore that one!

In Thor #136 (410 in the order) Sif is listed as a villain, shouldn't se be listed as support? i can't see that she does anything evil in this issue.. ( it's the last i have read so far.. so maybe she turns in to a villain.. (im new to thor) but at this point she realy dosn't look like she is on the bad side of things.

Found a link for 596: Captain Marvel #1 http://marvel.com/digitalcomics/view.htm?iid=4791, which you don't have a read it online button for.

You can't find it on the Marvel site, they only start at #8 when you search the digital comics, but if you google it, it'll take you straight to the page.

Was a typo. This is fixed.
